Rhein-Hunsrück can be explored from two distinct landscape perspectives: the Hunsrück and the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. The Rhein-Hunsrück district includes large areas of the Hunsrück, part of the Rhenish Slate Mountains, as well as the left-bank section of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Several circular routes, ranging from 3 to 14 kilometres, run around the bridge; they start and finish at the visitor centre in Mörsdorf. For the 2026 season, RadBus route 629, the RadBus Hunsrück-Mosel, supports cycling tours on the Schinderhannes cycle path between Kastellaun and Emmelshausen, and on the Schinderhannes-Untermosel cycle path between Emmelshausen and the Moselle.
