Ćuštica offers a specific starting point for a hiking trip: the Stara Planina summer program lists six hiking trails in the village. At the same time, the entire cadastral area lies within Stara Planina Nature Park. Hiking and Protected Landscape

The connection with Babin Zub also has a specific territorial scope: the area around Babin Zub includes the cadastral area of Ćuštica, as well as those of Crni Vrh, Balta Berilovac, and Janja. Below Babin Zub there is also a protected zone designated as a nature park, where subalpine beeches grow. This beech stand is located in the area below Babin Zub.

Ski Area and Lift Facilities

The area around Babin Zub, which includes the cadastral area of Ćuštica, is connected with a site of the Stara Planina Ski Center. The ski center has ski runs at Konjarnik, Sunčana dolina, Babin zub, and Jabučko ravnište, with a total length of 13 km. The 13 km refers to the combined length across these sites, not to a single run.

At the Babin zub site, the four-person chairlift is 1,000 m long and has a capacity of 2,400 skiers per hour; there is also a conveyor belt. The chairlift operates seasonally. Check the schedule for your planned visit before you go.

The Jabučko ravnište gondola lift is 1,125 m long and has a capacity of 1,222 skiers per hour. It is not in operation. Compared with the chairlift, it is 125 m longer, but its stated capacity is lower. The length and capacity describe the individual lifts; by contrast, the 13 km refers to the ski runs at four sites in the ski center.
