The central Amam bath has two springs with different recorded temperatures: Sv. Arhanđel at 43 °C and Preobraženje at 43.8 to 53 °C. Natural attractions also extend beyond Sokobanja: the Velika i Mala Ripaljka protected area includes the spring-fed course of the Gradašnica, the Velika Ripaljka and Mala Ripaljka waterfalls, a connecting gorge and erosion basins. You can therefore plan your stay around different interests, such as local history, trails or seasonal events.

Thermal Springs and Architectural History

The Turkish bath “Amam,” now called the Park Bath, was built in the 15th century on foundations dating back to the Roman era. It is of museum value and is under state protection. The two springs in the central bath add specific temperature figures to this history: Sv. Arhanđel is recorded at 43 °C, while Preobraženje has a range of 43.8 to 53 °C.

The ZaviÄŤajni muzej local history museum is also located in the center of Soko Banja. It is housed in a fully preserved 19th-century building constructed in the old Serbian Morava style. Its collection includes archaeological, ethnological and historical exhibits, spanning from the Roman era to the present day. Architectural history and a collection covering a broad period thus offer different ways to explore local history.

Trails, Waterfalls and Excursion Destinations
