A red-marked hiking route leads from Konice through Březsko, Vojtěchov and Javoříko to Litovel. The Napoleonská Trail is suitable for hiking and cross-country skiing. Hilly countryside, Kladecko Nature Park and several dated cultural landmarks add further themes to explore during your stay.

Hiking trails and regional options

The red-marked route links a series of named places: it runs from Konice through Březsko, Vojtěchov and Javoříko to Litovel. Check the current waymarking on site if you are following this marker.

On the Napoleonská Trail, a detour near Březsko should be noted. You need to leave the marked trail, go around the village and then continue on the Napoleonská Trail. The trail is suitable for both hiking and cross-country skiing. Check the signs and trail conditions before setting out. The two routes offer different experiences: the sequence of places matters on the red-marked route, while the local route alignment is important on the Napoleonská Trail.

Beyond Březsko, a nature trail runs along the edge of Kladecko Nature Park. In the wider area around Březsko is the Kladecko Nature Trail; it is 7.2 kilometres long, rated moderate and suitable for hiking and mountain biking. In addition to the routes through or near Březsko, this gives you an option in the wider area with a stated length and difficulty level.

Hilly countryside and Kladecko Nature Park

The entire cadastral area of Březsko lies in varied, hilly terrain, while part of the municipality lies within Kladecko Nature Park. The nature park was designated in 1990 to protect the landscape character and its significant aesthetic and biological values. In the southern part of Březsko, the valley of the Březský potok divides the hilly terrain. It lies on the border with Konice, near Sedliska. Thus, the landscape description applies to the entire cadastral area, while only part of it lies within the nature park.

Local history and monuments

The history of Březsko dates back to the mid-14th century. In the village stands a chapel dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius, dating from 1875. A marble cross from 1876 stands right beside it. The dates are only one year apart. A later historical landmark is the monument to the fallen of the First World War, featuring a statue of Saint Wenceslas, from 1929.

The history of the area also includes iron ore mining around Březsko: ore was mined there in the 18th and 19th centuries and then processed in nearby Blansko. This adds an economic connection to the wider area to the dated landmarks in the village. Near Březsko is a group of six marble crosses, restored in 1900.

A feast-day celebration in honour of Saint Martin, with music and a raffle, is held regularly in Březsko. Check the exact event dates before travelling if you would like to include the celebration in your stay.
