Those looking to consider the landscape, trails and local culture when choosing a place to stay will find a range of options in Kamenná. The village lies in the valley of the Zlatý pot in the Hornosázavská pahorkatina; Žižkův kopec is a prominent feature of the local landscape. There are also three smaller ponds, a hiking trail and a cycling route that pass through Kamenná, as well as cross-country skiing opportunities in winter. The activities are easy to distinguish: the two named routes have different starting points, cross-country skiing is a winter activity, and two riding stables offer lessons and horseback rides.

Landscape in the Zlatý pot Valley

Kamenná lies in the Hornosázavská pahorkatina, in the valley of the Zlatý pot. There are three smaller ponds in the village itself. Together with Žižkův kopec, which dominates Kamenná, these features shape the local landscape. They bring together distinct points of reference: the valley and its stream, the ponds in the village and the prominent hill. When planning your stay, you can consider these landscape features alongside the trails and historic monuments as part of the village’s character.

Hiking, Cycling and Other Activities

A blue-marked hiking trail from Jihlava to Přibyslav passes through Kamenná. Cycling route No. 4335, which connects Dobronín with Přibyslav, also runs through the village. Both routes end in Přibyslav and pass through Kamenná; their starting points and the activities they are intended for differ. This provides a clear guide when choosing: Jihlava and Přibyslav are the named places on the hiking route, while Dobronín and Přibyslav are on the cycling route. The information describes two different routes, not one shared route.

Cross-country skiing is available in Kamenná in winter. Two riding stables offer riding lessons and horseback rides. The activities range from hiking and cycling to cross-country skiing and riding. If you are planning a lesson or a ride, arrange a time in advance with the relevant riding stable. The different activities appeal to different interests and seasons and need not be combined into a single outing.

Monuments and Žižkův kopec

Local monuments include a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1748 and a chapel dedicated to the same saint, dating from 1873. The two dates and the different forms help distinguish these landmarks. Another monument was erected in the 1930s. It commemorates the victims of the First and Second World Wars, as well as the expulsion of the Germans. Together, these monuments offer insight into Kamenná’s different religious and historical associations.

Žižkův kopec is also associated with a small castle site of the same name. One of its features is a central circular platform approximately 21 metres in diameter. This approximate measurement gives a sense of its size, while its shape and central position make the platform a distinctive feature of the site. The hill is also associated with an event: KČT Kamenná invited visitors to the 16th edition of “Kamenské aleje.” For the edition held on 4 July 2026, the start and finish were on Žižkův kopec.
