A former manorial farm, a church with several building phases, and cycling routes through named places to a lookout tower give Řehlovice a cultural and scenic character. When planning your visit, you can focus on art and architectural history on the one hand, or routes and views on the other.

Art and history at the former manorial farm

The Řehlovice Cultural Centre is located on the grounds of a former manorial farm, which was mentioned as early as the 14th century. A brewery was established there in the 16th century. The farm’s former use and its brewing history mark two historical periods; today, it is also a cultural venue. The Czech-German sculpture park at the cultural centre is open to visitors and showcases works by Czech and German artists. Exhibitions and ceremonial openings are also open to the public. You can plan a visit around the sculpture park, or make an exhibition or opening the occasion for your visit.

The Church of the Holy Trinity and its building phases

The Baroque Church of the Holy Trinity in Řehlovice was probably built in 1717 on the site of an older church dedicated to St Nicholas. This predecessor church probably dated from the 14th century. The Church of the Holy Trinity was richly decorated in 1741 and remodelled at the end of the 19th century. The timeline runs from the earlier church site through the Baroque building to its decoration and remodelling. For those interested in cultural history, this offers several distinct periods rather than a single building history.

Legend and monument in Stadice

According to local legend, Přemysl Oráč’s oxen disappeared on Volská hora when he unhitched them before setting off to meet Princess Libuše. The wooded basalt hill is 309 metres high and lies above Stadice. The monument to Přemysl Oráč also stands there: it was created by Josef Max in 1841 and is a national cultural monument. The monument is easily accessible year-round. Its reliefs depict the arrival of Libuše’s envoys and their arrival at Prague’s Vyšehrad. The legend, the landscape and the monument offer different ways of exploring Přemysl Oráč and the tradition surrounding Libuše.

Cycling routes and views near Radejčín

The 36-kilometre cycle route 3009 passes through Přestanov, Chlumec, Chabařovice and Stadice before reaching Radejčín. There, a 30-metre-high metal tower is incorporated into a mobile phone mast. A yellow-marked hiking trail leads to the tower from Dubice or from the Radejčín stop. Cycle route 3071 offers another option: it leads from Řehlovice onwards to Trmice and Ústí nad Labem. Choose according to your destination: if you want to include the lookout tower, you can follow the sequence of places on route 3009 to Radejčín; route 3071 is the named connection for continuing from Řehlovice to Trmice or Ústí nad Labem.
