Milíkov U Jablunkova offers different starting points for planning a trip, from countryside and culture to cycling. Two thirds of the cadastral area are part of the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area; almost a third is forested. From Milíkov, you can enjoy expansive views over the Jablunkov Pass Basin. St. Anne’s Chapel and a lookout tower are located on Kozubová; Cycle Route 56 also runs through Milíkov.

Countryside and panoramic views

Protected-area status and forest cover describe different characteristics: one figure indicates what portion of the cadastral area belongs to the Protected Landscape Area, while the other quantifies the forested area. These figures should not be added together as if they represented two equivalent shares of the area. From Milíkov, the view extends across the Jablunkov Pass Basin. The area figures provide a numerical picture of the place; the panoramic view adds a perspective on the wider setting of the pass basin. This lets you understand the landscape both through its proportions and through the expansive view.

Chapel, pilgrimage and lookout tower

St. Anne’s Chapel is located on Kozubová. It was built in 1936–1937 and consecrated on July 26, 1937. For historical context, it is useful to consider these details separately: the construction period spans two years, while the consecration is dated to a specific day. The construction phase and consecration date can therefore be viewed as distinct milestones in the chapel’s history.

Every year in July, a pilgrimage celebration is held at the chapel on the Sunday around the feast day of Saint Anne. The date is therefore linked to the feast day and the Sunday near it, not simply to any weekend in July. If you plan to travel specifically for the celebration, check the exact date for your travel year.

Even outside the pilgrimage, you can visit the lookout tower on Kozubová by arrangement with the operators of Chata Kozubová. Make arrangements in advance, as access may change. Plan the tower visit as a separate activity and arrange it beforehand.

Cycle route and trip planning

Cycle Route 56 runs through Košařiska, Milíkov, Jablunkov, Písek and Bukovec. The sequence of places shows that Milíkov is part of a route passing through several towns and villages. If you plan to include the cycle route in your trip, check the current trail conditions before setting out. This way, the route’s sequence of places can guide your planning without being mistaken for information about the condition of the trail.

If you are looking for an apartment in Milíkov U Jablunkova and want to include Kozubová in your trip, consider two practical questions separately: the pilgrimage celebration takes place annually in July, while visiting the lookout tower outside the celebration requires prior arrangements. The Sunday of the celebration does not automatically determine access to the tower. Check the date if you plan to travel specifically for the pilgrimage, and arrange the tower visit separately.
