Lodín brings together a swimming pool, a nature trail, ponds, village history and two signposted regional cycle routes as distinct themes. When planning your visit, it is worth distinguishing between the seasonal swimming facilities, a themed trail and the different route itineraries. This will help you choose the highlights that suit your interests.

Swimming facilities at the Lodín swimming pool

The Lodín swimming pool has a children's paddling pool with a slide and misting system, as well as a leisure pool with massage showers and a whirlpool. The pools are complemented by a two-lane slide and a 102-metre water slide. The latter has a landing pool that is 110 centimetres deep. If slides are important to your plans, note the difference between the two-lane facility and the longer water slide, which has a specifically stated landing-pool depth. Check the swimming pool's seasonal operating schedule before your trip.

Ponds, forest and nature trail

Lodín is surrounded by forest complexes on three sides. The municipality's cadastral area includes the extensive ponds of Močidlo and Homoláč. The nature trail in Lodín runs around Močidlo and provides information about the jumping distances of various animals, their tracks and the trees in the surrounding area. Fish, birds and the water cycle are also among its topics. The trail therefore covers everything from animals and trees to bodies of water and natural processes. Močidlo is the specific reference point for the nature trail; Homoláč is another named pond in the municipal area.

Beyond the immediate surroundings of the village, the Nechanice–Lodín Site of Community Importance (CZ0520030) forms part of a broader landscape. It consists of three separate areas west of Nechanice and covers a total of 1,562.6 hectares. These figures refer to the site as a whole and its component areas.

Local history and memorial sites

A monumental memorial to the victims of both world wars stands in the village square. A statue of the Madonna is located at the crossroads towards Petrovice. The two sites have different significance: the memorial commemorates the victims of the wars, while the statue is another local and religious landmark. A historical name attribution is also part of Lodín's story: the village is associated with the name Lodyně, which is linked to the years 1068 and 1126. This is a brief historical reference; it does not establish either year as the village's founding date.

Two cycle routes through Lodín

Signposted regional cycle route No. 181 passes through Stěžery, Hrádek, Nechanice, Lodín, Petrovice, Myštěves and Chomutice. Signposted regional cycle route No. 4286 passes through Skřivany, Janatov, Lodín, Suchá and Všestary. Both routes pass through Lodín, but the listed places along them differ. You can distinguish the two itineraries by their route numbers and these sequences of places. Check the current signage and surface conditions before setting off.
