Jíloviště offers several distinct reasons to visit: you can plan a hike over the Černolické skály with a choice of two specified route lengths, visit the public sports grounds, or make the Zbraslav–Jíloviště gathering the focus of your trip. The options range from choosing a route to local sports facilities and a two-day gathering of historic vehicles. To help plan your visit, start by considering the distance, season or event programme.

Hiking: Choose Your Route and Destination

You can plan the hike from Jíloviště over the Černolické skály with two distance options: an 11-kilometre route to Všenory or a 17-kilometre continuation to Dobřichovice. This lets you consider the distance and destination together. The hike is characterised by a mostly flat route through natural surroundings. Distances and route connections can change, so check the conditions before setting out.

Route 4, “Královskou stezkou” (“Along the Royal Trail”), is another specific route: it starts at the junction near the Jíloviště municipal office and follows the red-marked cycle route towards Černolice. This route has a specified starting point and direction, while the hike over the Černolické skály offers a choice of distance and destination. These give you different starting points for planning.

Sports Grounds and Seasonal Access

The public sports grounds include a workout area, a children’s playground, a pump track and an artificial pitch for small-sided football and tennis. The grounds also feature a circular path, parking and a grassy area. If you are travelling with children, you can plan a visit to the playground as a separate activity; the pump track and workout area provide further opportunities to be active. Access to the grounds is free. There is a charge to use the artificial multi-purpose pitch, payable through the municipality’s online payment system.

The facility is open from April to October and may also open in winter when conditions are favourable. As access conditions can change, check the current opening hours before your visit. This lets you take the seasonal opening into account when choosing when to visit, without assuming that the facility will be open in winter.

History and Regional Context

Jíloviště lay on one of the main roads of the Kingdom of Bohemia, the historic Golden Road. Merchants, marching armies and processions travelled along it. Route 4, “Královskou stezkou” (“Along the Royal Trail”), is a specific present-day route and should be distinguished from the historic road: it starts near the municipal office and follows the red-marked cycle route towards Černolice.

The Zbraslav–Jíloviště Gathering

The Zbraslav–Jíloviště hill climb is now continued as a two-day gathering of historic vehicles. Visitors can enjoy vehicle exhibitions, practice and competitive hill runs, an orienteering drive and a social evening with music; admission is free. The programme therefore extends beyond the hill runs to include an exhibition, orienteering and music. If you are planning to attend, check the dates and programme details in advance, as both may change.
