A fresco on a church façade, a sundial dating from 1714 and an exhibition on the history of communication give Savosa a tangible cultural character. There are also sports and leisure activities, as well as visits to Daldini-Vini by appointment. When choosing accommodation, the right focus depends on what you would like to experience in Savosa.

Cultural Heritage and the History of Communication

The Chiesa della Beata Vergine Annunciata is a protected local heritage site in Savosa. Its façade features a fresco, and the church also has a sundial dating from 1714. These two details offer different points of interest: the façade’s design and a timepiece with a precise year of origin.

Roccolo Maggio is also a protected local heritage site in Savosa. It is another named place of interest for those interested in the municipality’s protected heritage.

The permanent exhibition “Dal tam–tam alla radio digitale” offers a different perspective. It explores the history of communication through inventions from 100 years and is located in the multipurpose room of Savosa’s school building, in the wing built in 1951. Its title spans the journey from early forms of communication to the digital radio era, making the history of technology another theme alongside the local heritage sites.

Sports and Leisure

The water area at Valgersa Sports Centre includes a swimming pool, a medium-sized pool and a water slide. The facility operates seasonally, so check the current opening dates before travelling. The sports centre also has two changing rooms with lockers, showers and toilets. A restaurant terrace is available for private events; its use may depend on reservations and seasonal operations.

Valgersa is considered a green oasis with extensive meadows connecting Savosa and Massagno. The Parco Vira recreation centre offers different activities: it includes a football pitch, a skate hockey rink, games and other leisure facilities. Together, the two places offer different focuses within Savosa’s sports and leisure options.

Orienteering, Wine and Scollinando

GOLD is an orienteering group based in Savosa and provides route maps in PDF format by email on request. Orienteering courses use white-and-red metal control markers with numbered codes. If you plan to take part, request the maps by email and check course availability in advance.

Daldini-Vini was founded by Giacomo Daldini in 1884. Visits are offered by appointment from Monday to Saturday. If you plan to visit, arrange an appointment in advance and check whether one is available on your preferred date.

At the 2017 edition of Scollinando, a newly signposted Scollinando trail was opened; that edition focused on Massagno, Savosa and Vezia. The 2026 programme included breakfast in Savosa at Centro Pettirosso, in collaboration with Centro Ricreativo Pettirosso, as well as the animated storytelling performance “LA FIGLIA DEL MUGNAIO”.
