The southern part of Svalöv Municipality is made up of fertile plains, while in the north, Söderåsen shapes the landscape with beech forests, distinctive valleys and ravines. This contrast between open plains and a wooded ridge gives nature outings different character. Söderåsen is known for its distinctive geology, flora and numerous beech forests. Söderåsen National Park covers 1,625 hectares; 58 percent of its area lies within Svalöv Municipality.

A lake with precise dimensions

At Odensjön, 30-metre-high cliffs surround the water, and the lake is 19 metres deep. There is a shelter and a floating jetty. However, Odensjön is not an official bathing site. Check local rules before swimming or entering the water.

Volcano, beech forest and routes of varying lengths

Jällabjär is an extinct volcano. As its basalt weathers, it forms nutrient-rich soil. Two marked 3-kilometre loop trails pass through beech forest and grazed juniper heath. At the southern entrance, there is a shelter with a fire pit and a toilet. If you are choosing by route length, you can compare the two loops with the Ås till Ås trail, which runs for about 25 kilometres through Svalöv Municipality.

There are also different options around Klåveröd: a 5.3-kilometre mountain bike loop runs north of Klåveröd Nature Reserve. Klåverödsdammen offers fishing, and there are several natural climbing walls at Snuvestuan in the Klåveröd area.

Wetland and pasture landscape

Traneröds mosse, Grindhus and Lilla Klåveröd Nature Reserve lies partly within Svalöv Municipality and is protected as both a nature reserve and a Natura 2000 site. Traneröds mosse is one of the few raised bogs in western Skåne to have escaped drainage, peat extraction and cultivation. An accessible boardwalk runs 400 metres there and back across the bog.

In Svenstorp-Bolshus fälad Nature Reserve, pastures, wet meadows and small wooded areas alternate. Nearly 300 species have been recorded in the area. Small roads and paths, as well as the option of roaming freely, provide access; there are picnic areas and a small car park.

Sculpture, crafts and history

Svalöv Sculpture Park is located by Svalövssjön. A sculpture trail runs through Svalöv, where you can walk from the lake in the north to Felestad in the south. At Skånelin, courses and activities in flax processing are on offer. The site is open to the public on certain days, giving you the chance to learn about the process. Opening days and course times may change; check the latest dates before your visit.

The Svalövs Brandkårsmuseum features, among other things, a 1929 Ford fire engine, a horse-drawn wagon and firefighting equipment. Access may depend on the association responsible for the museum. In Stenestad, the church was built in the Romanesque period. The village has a village landscape representative of the small church villages of the intermediate and forest regions, as it developed during the 19th century. Treudden near Magleröd is a very rare example in Skåne of an Iron Age burial type.

Knutstorp is the birthplace of astronomer Tycho Brahe, who was born there in 1546. The estate is privately managed; check separately whether visitors can access it. During track days at Ring Knutstorp, visitors can drive their own cars on the circuit. Dates, booking conditions and availability may change. Svalöv Municipality also has small cafés and restaurants; opening hours and arrangements may vary.
