Ugglarp offers three named beach sections and various ways to spend time by the water and take part in guided activities. When planning your day, it is especially useful to consider how much time you have: the guided fatbike tour takes about two to 2.5 hours, while the combined fatbike and SUP half-day tour takes about 3.5 to 4 hours in total. Svedinos Bil- och Flygmuseum also has its own focus, featuring cars and aircraft.
Beaches and Landscape
The Ugglarp beach area includes the southern, northern, and western beaches. All three slope gently into the water throughout and are child-friendly. Choosing between the sections therefore does not change this shared feature of the beaches.
The Ullarp Nature Reserve consists of grazing land with many old, majestic oak trees. This brings a different type of landscape into view alongside the beach sections: grazing land and old oaks define the character of the reserve. If you want to include different aspects of nature in your travel plans, you can consider the coast and this cultural landscape separately.
Tours on the Water and by Fatbike
A SUP tour on the Suseån through woodland and open terrain is available to book seasonally. If you are planning this activity, check availability for your travel dates. The change in landscape is part of the tour itself: it follows the river through woodland and open terrain.
Guided fatbike tours start in Ugglarp and take about two to 2.5 hours. They follow the coast and pass through the inland areas of Falkenberg. Tours run seasonally from mid-May. The guided ride therefore covers two different types of landscape; its approximate duration helps you set aside a block of time for it.
A longer option is the guided fatbike and SUP half-day tour, available to book seasonally from May. First, you cycle to the Suseån. The route then continues by SUP downstream to the river’s mouth, where it meets the sea, before you cycle back to Ugglarp. The full tour is listed as taking about 3.5 to 4 hours. Compared with the shorter fatbike tour, this option combines cycling and SUP and takes more time.
As another watersports option, Villa Surf Garden in Ugglarp offers bookable kitesurfing courses for beginners and advanced participants, as well as private lessons. You can choose between a guided river tour and kitesurfing courses, which come in different formats.
Museum and Beach Activities
Svedinos Bil- och Flygmuseum displays about 130 cars and 40 aircraft. In the large hall, visitors can walk between and underneath many different aircraft. Anyone interested in cars and aviation will find both subjects in one collection and can get a sense of the exhibition beyond just looking at the collection figures.
You can also buy cakes, pastries, and open-faced sandwiches at the museum. This selection adds a practical option for something to eat during your visit.
At the northern rocks of Ugglarp Beach, there is a fishing hut and a jetty suitable for crabbing. This offers a specific beach activity in addition to swimming: you can plan an activity by the water for this section and make your beach day different from simply enjoying the gently sloping shore.
