Godall offers several specific points of interest for a cultural and scenic trip: the Església del Salvador with its Gothic features, a route near the remains of Roman villas, and paths through centuries-old olive groves.
Church and Historical Traces
The Església del Salvador was consecrated in 1609 and has Gothic features. The year of its consecration provides a specific historical reference point, while the Gothic features also describe the church’s architectural character. The Centre d’Interpretació de la Serra de Godall is on the upper floor of the converted Casal Municipal. The Oficina de Turisme is on the ground floor of the same building.
Another point of cultural interest lies along the Ruta per la Via Augusta. It passes close to the remains of a Roman villa in the partida de l’Arion; these document rural settlement in this area during antiquity. This represents a different historical scale from the church: the villa remains speak to the ancient settlement of the rural area, while the Església del Salvador is a single building with Gothic features.
Spring and Landscape at the Foot of the Serra
The Font de l’Arboç is a natural spring in the hollow of the Barranc de l’Arboç. The Barranc de la Galera–Godall route offers another connection with nature: at the foot of the Serra de Godall, it encompasses terraced olive groves, dry-stone walls, garrigue and holm oak woodland. A clearly identified spring and a landscape featuring several distinct elements are therefore two separate points of interest.
Compare Routes by Length and Format
The Ruta de les Oliveres Mil·lenà ries is a 6.26 km linear route with a low difficulty level. It runs along the foot of the Serra de Godall through an area with the country’s largest concentration of centuries-old olive trees. The Ruta pel barranc de la Caldera is a 3.98 km circular route with a low difficulty level and 206 m of cumulative elevation gain. The Ruta per la Via Augusta is also linear, 17 km long and rated as low difficulty.
In direct comparison, the 6.26 km route falls between the 3.98 km circular route and the 17 km route. Their formats also differ: the Caldera route is circular, while the other two are linear. All three have a low difficulty level, but their lengths vary. You can therefore consider distance and format separately when choosing; for the Caldera circular route, cumulative elevation gain is an additional planning factor.
Mil·lenà ria and Tastings
The Mil·lenà ria is a fair dedicated to olive oil and asparagus. The Mil·lenà ria 2026 programme includes tastings during the event; the programme may change. If you would like to plan your visit around the fair, check the specific dates and programme details for the relevant edition in advance.
