If you are considering Amadores as a place to stay, Playa de Amadores can be a good starting point: two breakwaters protect the beach from waves and create calm waters, along with soft sand in white and golden shades. Parasols and sun loungers are available to rent, and services may vary by season. The beach and swimming are therefore a clear focus. The promenade, water park and routes to the area add other specific options. When choosing your accommodation, you can consider whether the beach is your main priority or whether these additional offerings matter to you too.
Beach, swimming and certification
At Playa de Amadores, people with reduced mobility can use amphibious chairs, walkways, buoys and nets to make swimming easier. Visitor facilities may change, so check their current availability before travelling. Rental services and swimming aids serve different purposes: parasols and sun loungers enhance your time on the beach, while the other facilities make swimming easier. If you are counting on any of these services, check their current availability in advance.
Playa de Amadores was first awarded Blue Flag certification in 2004. Check its current certification status separately if this feature is important to your decision.
Promenade, dining and water park
A one-kilometre seafront promenade connects Playa de Amadores with the tourist centre of Puerto Rico and is easy to walk along. You can plan a stroll to Puerto Rico as an alternative or addition to your beach activities.
There are restaurants in a shopping centre at Playa de Amadores where you can dine with sea views. This also gives you a seafront dining option when planning your meals.
Amadores Fun Park is located at Playa de Amadores in Mogán. The water park next to the beach offers trampolines, mats and jumps; a full-day ticket is also available. The beach and park have different focuses: calm waters and sand in one place, water park attractions in the other. You can decide whether to make the park a separate activity or include it in a day at the beach. Operating arrangements may change, so check the current conditions before your visit.
