Siemyśl can be explored on two scales: the parish church of St. Stanislaus Kostka in the village and the older branch church of St. Michael the Archangel in Unieradz, within the same municipality. Cultural attractions also include the cemetery around the parish church, a municipal cultural and library institution, and a 57-kilometre cycling route established in 2012 across the territories of several municipalities.

Parish Church and Cemetery in Siemyśl

The parish church of St. Stanislaus Kostka dates from 1866 and features Neo-Gothic architectural elements. The term “Neo-Gothic” refers to a later revival of Gothic forms, so the year of construction and the style provide two different clues about the building. The cemetery around the church has no gravestones. Thus, two different aspects stand out in this part of the village: the architectural classification of the church and the character of the surrounding cemetery.

Cultural Venue and Event Notice

The Gminny Ośrodek Kultury i Biblioteka (Municipal Cultural Centre and Library) is located at ul. Szkolna 21 in Siemyśl. This gives the municipal cultural and library institution a specific address. An announcement dated 22 April 2026 stated that the fifth edition of the Kiermasz Twórców i Talentów Wiejskich in Siemyśl would include the final of a children’s talent competition. This notice refers to that announced edition. If you would like to plan your trip around a cultural programme, check the current event date before travelling.

Cycling Route Across Municipalities

Cycling is another theme in the municipality. In 2012, a cycling route with a total length of 57 kilometres was established across the territories of the municipalities of Gościno, Karlino, Kołobrzeg, Rymań and Siemyśl. The length refers to the entire route across several municipal areas, not to a single circular route in Siemyśl. This gives you a different scale for planning your trip than the churches in the village and in Unieradz. If you want to include the route in a specific ride, check its current course in advance.

Comparing Churches: Siemyśl and Unieradz

In Unieradz, within the same municipality, stands the branch church of St. Michael the Archangel. It dates from the 13th century, is Romanesque and built of fieldstone. It is also one of the oldest churches in Kołobrzeg County. Compared with the parish church in Siemyśl, the different construction periods and styles become clear: here stands a Neo-Gothic church dating from 1866, while there is a medieval Romanesque church. You can therefore choose your cultural focus according to your interests—on the Neo-Gothic parish church in the village or on the older church building in Unieradz. Kołobrzeg County is a Polish administrative district.
