Bielice can be explored on a wide variety of routes: one educational trail is about one kilometre long, while two other hiking routes cover 25 and 38 kilometres. In between, there are shorter sections to Sedlo Peklo and the cross-border route to Paprsek. This range can help you choose accommodation: consider whether a short trail, a specific intermediate destination, or a long hike is a better fit for your stay.
Hiking trails with different time commitments
The Bielice–Paprsek hiking trail starts at the bus stop below the forester’s lodge in Bielice. The route is listed as 8 km long, with a walking time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. As a cross-border trail, it connects Bielice with the Paprsek mountain hut on the Czech side of the mountains. The distance and walking time provide a concrete framework for planning a longer outing with a named destination.
The “Na Sedlo Peklo – w kierunku Nyznerowskich Wodospadów” hiking trail leads from the church in Bielice through the Barani Gorge to Sedlo Peklo at an altitude of 847 m. This section is 2.5 km long, with a stated walking time of one hour. From the pass, the route continues past the Pramen Peklo spring to the Nýznerovské vodopády. The 3-km section follows Czech hiking trails, marked blue at first and then green; the stated walking time here is also one hour. If you plan both sections one after the other, the total distance is 5.5 km and the walking time is two hours. Check current trail conditions before setting out.
Educational trail, longer hikes, and road cycling
The “Dolina Pluszcza” educational trail runs through Bielice alongside the Biała Lądecka River, near Chata Cyborga. At about 1 km for the round trip, it is a shorter option than the trails to Sedlo Peklo or Paprsek. In winter, “Dolina Pluszcza” serves as a cross-country skiing area for beginners. This use is seasonal; check current snow and trail conditions before planning your visit.
Two longer hiking trails start at the forester’s lodge in Bielice. The 38-km route passes through the “Puszcza Śnieżnej Białki” nature reserve in the direction of Śnieżnik and Przełęcz Międzyleska. Another route is 25 km long and runs via Czernica and Stronie Śląskie to Hala pod Śnieżnikiem. These distances cover considerably more ground than the one- to three-hour sections around Sedlo Peklo.
A road cycling route is also available: it follows paved roads through the Biała Lądecka valley between Stronie Śląskie and Bielice. This means you can choose between hiking, a cycling route, and a seasonal cross-country skiing option. Check road and trail conditions according to the activity you have planned.
Church and local history
The filial Church of St. Vincent and St. Valentine in Bielice is a single-nave building with a polygonal chancel and a metal gabled roof. Its architecture offers a different perspective on the area from the hiking trails and valley. The dates refer to two different statements: the church is mentioned in a written record from 1823, while 1799 is only considered a possible year of construction. The written mention and the uncertain dating should therefore not be confused.
To make your choice, you can compare the routes by length, walking time, and activity: from the educational trail of about one kilometre, through the sections to Sedlo Peklo, to the 25- and 38-km hiking trails. Paprsek offers a cross-border destination, while the road cycling route provides a different way to explore the area. This lets you plan your visit to Bielice around specific routes without combining the different sections into a single hike.
