The observation tower on Pańska Góra, two different routes and several historic sites give visitors various ways to explore Andrychów. When planning your stay, it is worth first deciding what you would like to focus on: a single landmark, a hiking or cycling route, or the city’s history?

Observation Tower on Pańska Góra

The 32-metre-high observation tower stands at the summit of Pańska Góra. It opened on 4 November 2025; admission is free, and it is open year-round. This makes the tower a clearly defined standalone destination that can be planned for any time of year. That is a practical difference compared with the routes, whose course shapes the choice of outing.

The Hiking Trail and Cycling Route Compared

The green hiking trail starts at Andrychów PKP railway station. From there, it passes through Pańska Góra, Kobylica, Czuby, Przełęcz Biadasowska, Wapienica, Przykraźń, Przełęcz U Panienki, Kobyla Głowa, Gancarz and Groń Jana Pawła II, ending at the Schronisko PTTK im. Czesława Panczakiewicza. The start and finish give the trail two clear reference points; the sequence of named stops in between makes it possible to follow its course. This description is therefore especially useful if you want to place individual place names along a connected route.

The unmarked cycling route runs around Andrychów, is 23 kilometres long and offers insights into the geology of the surrounding area. The planning information differs from that for the hiking trail: the railway station, intermediate stops and destination are named for the trail, while the cycling route is defined by its length, lack of markings and geological focus. Comparing the two options lets you choose between a hiking route with named stops and a cycling option with a specific distance and thematic focus.

More Places to Visit in the City

A new salt graduation tower is located in Andrychów’s city park. Its name and location distinguish it from the observation tower on Pańska Góra: one stands at the summit, the other in the city park. The Lim-2 aircraft monument is considered a symbol of Andrychów and is another distinct landmark among the city’s sights.

Church, Cemetery and Historical Periods

St. Matthias Church and the Jewish cemetery can also be placed in context using their dates. The church dates from the 18th century; the cemetery was established in the first half of the 19th century. The two sites therefore represent different historical periods. Around 400 gravestones have been preserved in the cemetery, giving a sense not only of when it was established but also of the scale of the surviving collection. Together with the Lim-2 aircraft monument, Andrychów thus offers three distinct cultural and historical reference points: a monument regarded as a symbol, a church and a Jewish cemetery.
