The hike to Lac Blanc starts in Les Praz-De-Chamonix. There are also walking trails, the Evettes via ferrata and a guided tour of hamlets, as well as golf, to suit different interests. When planning, it helps to note the specific differences: the time required, meeting point and lift access vary depending on the activity.

Hiking between Lac Blanc and Flégère

The circular trail to Lac Blanc lies in the Aiguilles Rouges nature reserve and offers views of Mont Blanc. The Balade au Paradis des Praz leads to a forest at the foot of Flégère. This walking trail is 3 km long; the round trip takes one hour. There is also a children's playground along the route. Pony rides are offered in July and August, although the seasonal offering may vary from year to year.

The Via ferrata des Evettes takes 3 to 4 hours in total and includes, among other features, a suspension bridge for monkeys. It starts at Flégère. For the group option, the meeting point is at 8:30 a.m. at the Flégère cable car in Les Praz-De-Chamonix. The duration, route and group arrangements may change, so check the latest information before planning. In terms of time, the one-hour Balade is clearly shorter than the multi-hour via ferrata.

Grand Balcon Sud: Route and Lift Access

The Grand Balcon Sud runs between Flégère and Planpraz along the GR Tour du Mont-Blanc and GR5. Access requires a Les Praz–Flégère return ticket. This ticket also covers the descent to Planpraz and vice versa. Lift operations and trail conditions vary; take both into account when planning and check the conditions before your outing.

Old Hamlets and Golf

A guided hike through the hamlets of Tines, Bois and Praz begins on old paths and offers insights into how people lived and made their homes in the past. It ends in the village of Praz, near old farmhouses and a chapel. Those interested in the history of the hamlets will find a different focus here from the trails with views of Mont Blanc or the walking paths at the foot of Flégère.

Advance booking is required for the guided hamlet hike. As availability may change, check before travelling. Booking is therefore part of planning, alongside deciding whether to choose a guided tour or a walk with a stated duration.

The Golf de Chamonix is a flat, 18-hole golf course in a glacial valley. Its practice facilities include 32 tees, 14 of them covered, as well as two putting greens and a pitching green. Golf enthusiasts will find details here not only about the course but also about the practice areas; as an activity, the course complements the hikes and guided exploration of the hamlets.
