Juvignac offers several ways to explore, including the Mosson and its well-used riverbanks, green spaces with different features, and archaeological heritage. There is also golf amid the garrigue landscape and a tram connection to Montpellier. For planning purposes, it helps to keep these options distinct: walks, parks and cultural heritage alongside golf and a trip to the city centre.
Riverbanks and green spaces
The Mosson borders Juvignac for 7.6 kilometres. Today, its riverbanks are used by walkers and people taking part in sports. The river thus shapes the local landscape and is reflected in the area's leisure opportunities.
Created in 2004, Parc Saint-Hubert is a four-hectare green space in the centre of Juvignac. It is designed for walks, play and outdoor events. Parc des Thermes offers something different: its extensive meadowland is suitable for family walks. It also has tables for chess, draughts and table tennis. If you plan to use these facilities, check their current condition before your visit.
Traces of the thermal baths and Roman times
The central pavilion in Parc des Thermes points to a thermal bath complex dating from the mid-19th century. The Valadière spring is also located in Parc des Thermes in Fontcaude. Another historic site is the Roman bridge near Juvignac: built in 1150, it is one of the town's most remarkable archaeological remains. These two sites offer different points of connection to the area's heritage—the history of the thermal baths in the park and the bridge as an archaeological structure.
There is dated visitor information for the Buvette de la Valadière: the restored buvette reopened to the public in Parc des Thermes in February 2026. Check current access conditions before visiting, as this information describes the reopening at that time.
Walking and golf
The municipal walking trail “Le long de la Mosson” is 5.5 kilometres long, with a stated walking time of 1 hour and 40 minutes. Together, the distance and time estimate help you include the trail as a specific block of time in your plans. As recommended for the trail, check the route locally before setting out.
Golf de Fontcaude has a practice facility, as well as an 18-hole course and a 9-hole course. This gives you two different course lengths, along with the opportunity to practise. The international golf course is set in 80 hectares of garrigue landscape. As access to golf facilities may change, check the current conditions before visiting.
Taking the tram to Montpellier
Tram line 3 serves Juvignac and reaches Montpellier city centre at Gare Saint-Roch station in 26 minutes. This gives you a specific point of reference if you would also like to spend time in the centre during your stay. Journey times and services may change, so check the connection before travelling.
Find a hotel to suit your plans
If you would also like to visit Montpellier, take the tram connection into account and check the location of the specific hotel offer in relation to your plans.
