In Félines-Minervois, visitors can choose from different highlights: church architecture, botanically themed trails and wine experiences. The stated walking times and recurring events are useful for planning: they show which activities can be enjoyed as a short loop, an excursion or on a particular occasion.

Church and local history

The Church of Notre Dame de l’Assomption dates from 1694. It has three naves and is designed in the Gothic style. Gothic describes the architectural style, while the three naves refer to the layout of the church interior. The church has a museum with liturgical objects. Access and displays may change; check current arrangements before visiting.

The Maison du Patrimoine houses the collections of the Culture et Patrimoine association. An exhibition room displays part of the collections; their contents may evolve and the exhibition may change. The Maison du patrimoine et des archives was inaugurated in 2013 above the library.

Mill and trails

The Moulin de Félines dates from 1780 and was restored in 2000. Forty-two grape varieties are planted at the foot of the mill; the planting may change.

The botanical Sentier des Capitelles features around 40 plant species and forms a loop of less than an hour between the Moulin and the terraces of Pech de Marassi. The Sentier Poétique et Botanique connects the Capitelles with the Moulin de Félines. The similar-sized figures refer to different things: 42 grape varieties planted at the foot of the Moulin de Félines and around 40 plant species featured on the botanical Sentier des Capitelles; despite their similar scale, one refers to grape plantings and the other to species listings.

The Croix Blanche overlooks the village and offers a special viewpoint. An easy one-hour round trip leads there. For planning purposes, the two options are a botanical loop of less than an hour and an easy one-hour round trip to the Croix Blanche.

Market, events and wine

An open-air market takes place in Félines-Minervois on Saturday mornings. As market times may change, it is advisable to check the latest information before visiting. Hikes are organised in the Félines area several times a year; the traditional Easter omelette takes place every Easter Monday.

An annual lavender day combines harvesting and distillation with musical and poetic entertainment. At Domaine Benjamin Baudet, tastings are available in its cellar, as are walks or tastings in the vineyards.

Domaine Vieux Continent is open year-round and sells wine directly from the estate. It occasionally organises cellar events, vineyard walks and tasting evenings, or does so by reservation.
