Town history and art

Thisted Museum is located in the heart of the merchant town of Thisted. It is housed across 1,600 m² in three interconnected buildings. Thisted Church also offers specific historical context: the original church was a Romanesque ashlar church dating from around 1200. Thisted Lilleby features a faithful 1:10 scale replica of the merchant town of Thisted as it was in 1950. There are about 100 houses today, and this number may still grow. Plan routes by their endpoints

The Grønne Løber starts at Store Torv in Thisted and ends at Baun Plantage. Check the signs again before setting off. Another recreational route connects Silstrup Hoved, south of Thisted, with Eshøj Plantage, east of the town. The named starting and ending points help distinguish the two routes without treating them as a single combined route.

The Limfjord, green spaces and activity

Thisted Søbad is located in central Thisted on the Limfjord. Christiansgave is a green urban park in the centre. It has a fully equipped nature workshop with space for about 25 people. This approximate capacity can be a helpful guide when planning for a group.

At Thisted Rowing and Kayak Club, a bridge structure makes it possible to roll rowing boats and kayaks directly from the storage area down the ramp and into the water.
