Nárameč can be explored through two distinct themes: stone traces of the village’s history and its landscape features, such as Gbel Pond and the municipality’s inclusion in Třebíčsko Nature Park. There are also numbered routes of varying lengths. When planning, you can weigh up whether cultural heritage, the landscape or a particular route should be the focus of your stay.

Stone architecture and memorial sites

Relatively well-preserved remains of the stone fortress of Nárameč have survived. Its external ground-floor dimensions are 12.7 × 11.5 metres, and the walls are two metres thick. The two external dimensions differ by 1.2 metres. The sides are therefore close in length, while the walls add another striking dimension to the structure. Those interested in historic architecture can also assess the fortress by its proportions.

The Chapel of St John of Nepomuk is late Baroque and dates from the end of the 18th century. Inside is a statue of the saint. Next to the chapel stands a large stone cross from 1840; it is the oldest cross in the municipality’s cadastral area. The chapel and the cross offer different points of reference in time: one dates from the end of the 18th century, while the other bears the date 1840.

The war memorial marks another historical period. It commemorates sixteen soldiers who fell in the First World War; the unveiling ceremony took place on 19 October 1920. Together with the chapel and the cross, it forms a timeline stretching from the late 18th century through 1840 to the remembrance of the fallen and the 1920 ceremony.

Nature park and route lengths

The municipality of Nárameč is included in Třebíčsko Nature Park. Gbel Pond near Nárameč has an island and a wooded peninsula. While the nature park designation applies to the municipality as a whole, the island and peninsula are specific features of the pond itself. This lets you distinguish between the wider landscape and Gbel Pond when deciding what to visit.

For the numbered routes, the number, itinerary and length are given for each one. Route 5106 passes through Třebíč, Nárameč, Pozďatín, Náměšť nad Oslavou and Dukovany and is 32 km long. Route 5109 starts in Nárameč and passes through Hodov, Tasov, Naloučany and Náměšť nad Oslavou; it is also 32 km long. Route 5112 also starts in Nárameč and passes through Rudíkov and Hroznatín (Benetice); it is 11 km long.

Routes 5106 and 5109 are both 32 km long, while Route 5112 is shorter at 11 km. The places listed along the routes also differ and offer another point of comparison for your plans. Check the current route information before finalising your plans, as details may change.
