Řídelov offers concrete points of interest for a range of travel interests. If you are looking for a holiday apartment, it helps to decide in advance what you want to focus on during your stay: nature, a designated bathing area, a route connection or local history. The nature attractions also differ significantly. Lukšovská is known for forest and stream habitats, while Bažantka is a peat bog with wetland vegetation. This allows you to assess the area according to the aspects that are actually intended to shape your trip.

Forest and peat bog

The Lukšovská protected area is in the cadastral area of Řídelov, about 1.5 kilometres north of the village. It protects wet spruce forests and alder stands along streams; Norway spruce (Picea abies) makes up a large natural proportion of the forest stands. The phrase “along streams” refers to the alder stands beside the streams and adds a second habitat dimension to the forest landscape. For travellers who view landscapes in terms of different habitats as well as tree species, this offers a specific point of interest.

Rašeliniště Bažantka is a transitional and valley peat bog. Its wetland vegetation includes round-leaved sundew (Drosera rotundifolia), bogbean (Menyanthes trifoliata) and broad-leaved marsh orchid (Dactylorhiza majalis). Compared with Lukšovská, the focus shifts from spruce forest and alder stands to peat bog types and three specifically named plant species—a clear distinction for travellers choosing nature attractions by habitat and vegetation. “Transitional bog” names the bog type, while “valley bog” describes its connection to the valley.

Bathing area and route connections

Malý pařezitý rybník is designated as a bathing area; the municipality of Řídelov is listed as its operator. Operating information may change. If you are planning to go swimming, check the current conditions in advance.

Mirošovská studánka is in the cadastral area of Řídelov; the access route is listed as suitable for bicycles. The Roštejnská route passes through Řídelov. These are two different points to note when finding your way: for the spring, the information concerns bicycle-friendly access; for the route, it concerns its course through the village.

Historical points of interest

South of Řídelov stands a stone Baroque wayside shrine of the boží muka type, dated to 1817. The Czech term identifies the type of shrine; its construction, Baroque classification and date provide specific architectural and historical context. The local Drdák mill was one of the largest and oldest mills in the surrounding area. The shrine and the mill offer different perspectives on local history: the shrine can be placed in context by its type and date, while Drdák can be understood through its historical comparison in size and age with others in the region.

The 22nd edition of Dálková doprava vody was also held in Řídelov. It adds an event-related dimension to the history of the buildings and mill, giving local history another perspective alongside architectural form and historical comparison in size.
