Chapel and stone cross in Žiželice
The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Žiželice was built in 1660 and remodelled in the Baroque style in the early 18th century. It underwent extensive restoration from 2013 to 2017. Its construction in 1660 was followed by the Baroque remodelling in the early 18th century and the extensive restoration from 2013 to 2017.
Another dated monument is the Baroque stone cross from 1773. It stands in front of house no. 23, at the junction with the road to Hořetice. The chapel and the cross offer different ways to explore local history: one is a building with several phases, the other a solitary cross at a precisely identified location.

Cycling route and landscape in Stroupeč
Stage 4 of the Ohře cycling route includes Přívlaky and Stroupeč; the route listing extends as far as Žatec. In 2026, a section of the route near the municipality of Stroupeč was completed with a new bituminous road surface. It lies on the route between Nechranice and Žatec. As road conditions can change, it is worth checking the latest route information before a cycling trip.
Stroupeč has semi-natural dry grasslands and shrub formations on calcareous ground. It is one of the most important sites for heat- and drought-loving invertebrate fauna. These natural features are quite different from the buildings in Žiželice and Hořetice: here, the focus is on habitats and the invertebrates found there.
A nature trail leads through the area around the settlement of Stroupeč to a group of protected summer oaks. A route description published in 2022 warns that the route information may no longer be current. Check the route details before following it.
