Church architecture, local history and winegrowing offer different points of interest during a stay in Nasedlovice. A 20th-century church, collections on rural life and traditional dress, and a former estate granary each appeal to different interests. The Nová hora wine-growing site and local events with seasonal highlights add to the picture. You can therefore tailor your trip more closely to architectural history, collections, winegrowing or an event date.

Church Architecture and Local History

The Church of Saints Martin, Cyril and Methodius in Nasedlovice is an unusual, purist building. It was built in 1927–1928 to a design by architect Antonín Mendl. Another point of reference takes us much further back: the earliest precisely established date in the town’s history is 1327. At that time, the Cistercian nuns exchanged Nasedlovice for Stanoviště near Tišnov. A specific 20th-century architectural project and a medieval historical reference thus offer two different ways to explore local history.

Museum, Gallery and Sýpka

The Násedlovice Museum and Gallery house a permanent exhibition of a rural living room, as well as a collection of historical components of traditional costumes. The living room draws attention to rural domestic culture, while the costume components add a focus on clothing and traditional design. Together, the two sections offer different points of entry if you are interested in everyday and cultural history.

The Sýpka is a former estate granary belonging to the Lichtenštejns’ estate. It contains various historical machines and tools; the items on display may change. The Sýpka thus offers a different focus from the rural living room and costume collection: here, historical tools and machinery take centre stage.

Winegrowing and Landscape

Nasedlovice lies on the western edge of the Kyjovská pahorkatina. The Kyjovská wine trail for cyclists and hikers runs through the village. The Nová hora wine-growing site is also of interest for understanding local winegrowing: it is located on a southeast-facing slope. Its soils consist of modal chernozem, formed on thick layers of windblown loess and sand with a higher lime content. The information about the Kyjovská pahorkatina places the village in its wider geographical setting, while Nová hora is characterised by the slope’s orientation and the soil of a specific vineyard site. This allows you to view the landscape and winegrowing from two different perspectives.

Events Throughout the Year

Ostatky includes a procession and a masked ball and is always held in early March. The harvest festival, Dožínky, is celebrated in August. The two dates therefore mark different seasonal highlights: Ostatky tradition takes place in early March, and the harvest festival in August. The exact dates may vary from year to year, so check them before your trip. Martinské krojované hody are also held in Nasedlovice.

Check Access Before Your Visit

The access arrangements for the museum and gallery differ from those for the Sýpka. The museum and gallery are open to visitors during the municipal office’s opening hours or by prior arrangement. The Sýpka is open on request. If you would like to visit either place, confirm the relevant arrangements in advance, as access information may change.
