Rozsíčka lies in the valley of the Rozsíčský potok. When planning your trip, the landscape and architectural history offer distinct points of focus: the château, bell tower and chapel provide concrete landmarks for a cultural perspective. Marked hiking trails and local cycling routes add outdoor activities to the options. You can start by deciding whether architecture, the landscape or both will be the focus of your stay.

Landscape and trails

The Crhov–Rozsíčka Site of Community Importance lies in a stream valley between Rozsíčka and Crhov. The Halasovo Kunštátsko Nature Park encompasses all or part of the cadastral area of Rozsíčka. These two protected-area designations should not be conflated: the first describes a location between two villages, while the second refers to the inclusion of the cadastral area or parts of it. This distinction helps place the nature-related features in their geographic context. Kamperk, whose elevation is given as 640 m, also lies west of Rozsíčka. The valley, protected-area designations and elevation point offer different ways to appreciate the landscape.

Marked hiking trails and local cycling routes are available for outdoor activities. These types of routes offer two different options: you can spend time outdoors hiking or cycling. So when choosing, start by considering which way of getting around you prefer. The landscape features and the routes available are distinct aspects of a stay in Rozsíčka.

Buildings and village character

Rozsíčka Château is a building that has retained its original form to this day. Built in 1828, it is in the Empire style. It has one storey and six bays. A two-bay avant-corps emphasizes the southeast entrance façade. An avant-corps projects from the façade, visually setting part of the frontage apart. The château’s architecture can therefore be understood through several specific features: its style, height, façade layout and prominent entrance side.

The bell tower in Rozsíčka is a cultural monument and, as a space-defining feature, gives character to the village square. Its square ground plan and its helmet roof, dating from the late 18th century, describe its form. Comparing it with the château brings different features to the fore: the château’s Empire style, bays and avant-corps, and the bell tower’s ground plan and roof shape. The dates also refer to different buildings or building elements: the helmet roof dates from the late 18th century, while the château was built in 1828. A chapel in a prominent location adds to the buildings that shape the village.

Village layout and planning your visit

Rozsíčka has an oval layout and lies along the road from Olešnice to Kunštát via Sulíkov and Rudka. The shape of the village draws attention to its overall layout, while the château and bell tower bring individual buildings into focus. These offer different scales for orientation: the village form and its connection to the road on the one hand, and architectural details on the other. If you are interested in the layout of a settlement, the oval plan offers a perspective distinct from that of the individual buildings.

At the upper end of Rozsíčka there is a recreational area and a playground. As local visitor facilities may change, check their current status before your visit if you plan to make specific use of them. For the rest of your choices, you can follow your interests: the buildings and their varied forms offer points of connection with the village’s history, while the location in a stream valley, Kamperk, and the hiking and cycling routes bring the landscape and outdoor activity to the fore.
