Husí Lhota offers two clear starting points for planning a trip: local history with specific construction dates and a 51 km MTB loop that passes through the village. When looking for a holiday apartment, you can first consider whether cultural history or cycling will be the focus of your stay.

Local History Spanning Several Building Phases

The Chapel of St. Anne was built in 1823 with financial support from the residents of Husí Lhota and Jan Tichý. It was extended in 1908. The bell tower next to the chapel was built in 1862 and remains unchanged to this day. The sequence of dates makes the individual stages clear: the chapel was built first, followed by the tower, and later the extension was added.

The year 1849 also features in the building history. A hunting lodge dating from that year stands at what is now house number 3; two farmsteads were also built in 1849 and still exist today. The “Poplužní dvůr” was the founding building of Husí Lhota. The village’s history therefore includes different types of buildings and several periods, not just the chapel. Anyone interested in how a village developed will find specific points of reference here, from the founding building and 19th-century construction dates to the preserved form of the bell tower.

Location and a Changing Landscape

Husí Lhota lies about 11 km from Mladá Boleslav in the direction of Jičín and close to Český ráj. These are two different points of reference for locating it: the approximate distance from Mladá Boleslav and its proximity to the Český ráj region.

The descriptions of the landscape also bring the present and the past together: some ponds remain to this day; in the past, the forests on the northern side extended as far as the village buildings. Thus, a landscape feature that still exists sits alongside a historical description of the former forest boundary. The forests’ former extent can be clearly distinguished in time from the ponds that have been preserved.

Plan by Mountain Bike or Bus

The 51 km MTB loop “Ml. Boleslav–Branžež–Dlouhá Lhota–Ml. Boleslav” passes through Husí Lhota. It is rated very easy. The 51 km refers to the entire loop; Husí Lhota is one of the places along the route. So if you include the loop in your trip plans, bear in mind the full route length. Trail conditions and signage may change; check the current route before setting off.

For bus planning, the Husí Lhota stop is a specific point of reference: the PID stop list for June 2026 includes routes 714 and 736 serving it. Check the departure times for your travel day before deciding how to get there.

Find a Holiday Apartment That Suits Your Travel Interests

If local history is what draws you to the area, the chapel, bell tower, hunting lodge, and farmsteads offer different themes for your stay. For a mountain biking trip, the loop with its clearly stated total length is a separate point of reference. Decide which is more important to you, then check whether the location and amenities of your chosen holiday apartment suit your personal travel plans.
