With the Questing Route, the Loděnice brook and its local glassmaking tradition, Nenačovice offers specific points of interest for a stay. This lets you consider the village in light of your interests in nature and culture: the trails have different profiles, while Glasstar focuses on craftsmanship.
Hiking Trails and Landscape
The NENAČOVICE Questing Route is of moderate difficulty and runs along forest and field tracks, as well as partly along a road. This information answers two different planning questions: how difficult is the route rated, and what types of paths does it follow? Along the way, the route passes the preserved rural watermill Kalousův mlýn and the Chrbiny tramping settlement. It also leads to a bridge over the Loděnice brook, also known as Kačák. This route thus combines a specific trail profile with named local features. If you would also like to understand the landscape’s protected status, you can consider the nature park as an additional perspective on the local landscape.
The Povodí Kačáku Nature Park extends into the area around Nenačovice. It protects the character of the landscape and significant concentrations of natural and aesthetic values. The Loděnice brook corridor in particular forms the landscape axis of the nature park. The brook is therefore both a trail feature on the Questing Route and a landscape landmark in the park.
A second trail perspective is offered by “Stezkami Barrandienu”: the route follows the Loděnice to Nenačovice, where the red- and yellow-marked hiking trails cross. In contrast, the Questing Route is described in more detail through its moderate difficulty, trail surfaces and local features. This gives you a tangible distinction when choosing an outing: here, the focus is on the trail profile and named points, while there it is on the course of the brook and the trail crossing.
Glassmaking and Local Shops
Glasstar was founded in Nenačovice in 1996 by Julius Starove and continues the Czech glassmaking tradition there to this day. The Glasstar glassworks produces around 200 types of handmade colored glass products. These include glass flowers, vases, bowls, fruit and animals. Its cultural connection differs from that of Kalousův mlýn: the Questing Route passes a preserved rural watermill, while Glasstar represents continuing craftsmanship and the production of colored glass products.
