At Estación Camet, Almacén La Trinidad is designated as a rural heritage site. The station itself and valuable buildings on the railway grounds are also listed as rural heritage sites. Castagnino’s House Studio and Railway History
Juan Carlos Castagnino spent several summers at the home of the Castagnino studio. He created many of his important works in the studio on the first floor. The house is thus associated both with the painter’s summer stays and his artistic work. In 2011, EMTur put up tourist information panels in Pueblo Estación Camet, including at the Casco Viejo of Estancia El Tejado and at the Castagnino house studio.
The railway station is also linked to a specific infrastructure project: work on the signaling system was awarded for Camet station on the train line to Mar del Plata. Laguna is suitable for rowing on the Alberto Valle course and is considered an important sport-fishing area.
The reserve has four authorized entrances: the main entrance on Avenida de Los Misioneros and three secondary entrances. They lead via Camino del Cabildo Indígena to Museo Municipal José Hernández, via Calle Helmer Uranga to the island area, and via Camino Cacique Cangapol to Avenida Padre Luis Varetto in the direction of Sierra de los Padres. Museo Municipal José Hernández is located on Ruta 226 at kilometer 13.2, at the second entrance to Laguna via Camino del Cabildo Indígena. It is housed in the original main building of the former Estancia Laguna de los Padres, built in 1882 and designated as being of heritage interest by the Municipalidad de General Pueyrredon. The permanent exhibition covers, among other topics, early settlement, Indigenous settlements and missions, Cacique Cangapol “El Bravo,” and the rural history of the region and Estancia Laguna de los Padres.
