Trophy Club combines expansive natural landscapes with opportunities for recreation, water sports, and relaxation. Trophy Club Park covers about 600 acres of undeveloped land and borders the northwestern edge of Lake Grapevine in Denton County. A concrete path provides direct access to the park and offers views as well as access to nature trails. When planning, you can distinguish nature and water activities at Trophy Club Park from sports and play areas in other parks.

Nature and Water at Lake Grapevine

Trophy Club Park has a dedicated mountain bike trail with a moderate difficulty rating and an 18-hole disc golf course. Check trail conditions and access before setting out; the disc golf course’s layout and condition may change. The park provides direct access to Grapevine Lake for kayaking and canoeing. Fishing is also available at Trophy Club Park on the lake. Fish found there include largemouth bass, black bass, catfish, and alligator gar. Before your trip, check water conditions, safety requirements, equipment rules, and applicable fishing regulations.

Trophy Club Park has a regularly maintained track for ATV and motocross riding, as well as a youth track for younger riders. Before visiting, confirm the facility’s condition and check vehicle requirements, safety rules, and track access. This lets you plan for each activity’s requirements separately, rather than inferring them from the moderate-difficulty mountain bike trail.

Sports and Recreation Parks

Freedom Dog Park is an 8.3-acre, fenced off-leash area with separate spaces for small and large dogs. Each area has its own training and agility courses. Before visiting, check the park rules and for possible closures due to maintenance.

The 13-acre Harmony Park offers playgrounds, ten soccer fields, two tennis courts, and six pickleball courts. It also has two partially shaded bocce courts, a basketball court, exercise stations, and a 1.8-mile trail system. The pickleball courts are intended for open play and cannot be reserved. Private use is permitted only for coaches with written authorization from the Parks and Recreation Department. If you’re planning around a particular sports facility, check the current usage conditions in advance.

Independence Park covers 23 acres and offers facilities for youth sports and outdoor recreation, including tennis courts, a basketball court, a NEOS play system, and exercise stations. Indy East is home to a tournament baseball complex with eight fields. Its availability may depend on games, tournaments, or approved use; check the conditions if you plan to visit. Compared with Harmony Park, the parks cover 23 and 13 acres, respectively; both have a basketball court and exercise stations.

Local History and Special Access Conditions

The inscriptions on the graves at Medlin Cemetery preserve part of the history of the early settlers. Mittie Ann Medlin, who died at the age of 21, is also buried there. The Trophy Club Veteran's Memorial is a landscaped green space with benches, a path, and a flagpole. Check the memorial’s current access conditions before visiting.

The Trophy Club Community Pool features a modern splash pad and a six-lane competition pool; seasonal operating hours may vary. The pool is open only to Trophy Club residents and their accompanying guests. Proof of residency is required for purchases. Check the seasonal schedule and access rules in advance, especially if you’re planning to visit with someone from outside the community.
