Lidsjöberg can be explored through its waters and seasonal fishing opportunities. There are four larger bodies of water in the area, with Gärdsjön the largest. Storån stretches for about 1,200 metres between Gärdvattnet and Gärdsjön. In addition to these specific landmarks, fishing is available at Lidsjön and in Strömmen, depending on the season.

Fishing by location and season

According to the regulations as of 11 May 2026, fishing from a boat is permitted at Gärdsjön; check the current rules again before your trip. Ice fishing is possible at Lidsjön in late winter, while vendace can be caught with a landing net in Strömmen in autumn. These two options differ both in season and method. You can therefore choose when to travel based on whether late-winter fishing or the autumn vendace catch is your main interest.

Culture and seasonal visits

Sjoutnäsets chapel was inaugurated in 1919. A municipal description from 2022 says that it is mainly used in summer during the so-called Sjoutnäsmässan, held on the first weekend of July. If you plan to visit for this event, check the current dates in advance. The year of inauguration and the seasonal use provide different points of reference: the year places the chapel in its historical context, while the summer event may be useful for planning a visit.
