Ronneby combines cultural-historical sites with nature and creative activities. Gamla källan is located in Ronneby Brunnspark, the Ekorrestigen trail in Brunnsskogen winds through the forest past animals and plants, and canoe and kayak rentals are available on the Ronnebyån. There is also medieval church art, guided tours and an open workshop. This variety offers different approaches to planning your trip: you can focus on architectural history and art, nature, creative activities of your own, or activities on the water.

Brunnspark and Trails Through Ronneby

Ronneby Brunn is now considered an area of national interest for its cultural-historical significance and includes several listed buildings. Gamla källan is a tangible point of reference: the present building was erected in 1845 and is the oldest surviving well building in Ronneby Brunnspark. Water can still be drawn there today. Guided tours and nature walks are also held in the park. This means the park brings together a specific historic building and different ways to explore.

The “En resa i tiden” route starts at Naturum, leads through the town centre to Ronneby harbour, and then returns to Ronneby Brunn.

Church Art and Creative Activities

Heliga Kors kyrka was built between the 12th and 13th centuries. Inside are paintings from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries; the oldest depiction is “St. Jörgen och draken”. In 2026, the church is open Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00. If your stay falls in a later year, check the opening hours in effect then. The church is therefore also interesting to culture enthusiasts as a meeting of different eras: the medieval building houses art created several centuries later.

At Kulturcentrum Ronneby Konsthall, the open workshop provides visitors with materials and tools for free creative work. If you want to make something yourself during your trip, you’ll find a different way to engage with culture here than through church art and historic buildings: the focus is on creating, not just looking.

Nature in the Forest and in Exhibitions

The Ekorrestigen is a 1.2-kilometre family trail in Brunnsskogen that winds through the forest past animals and plants. Its specific length gives the nature trail a clearly defined scope, while its focus is on the forest and observing nature. The exhibitions at Naturum Blekinge offer a different perspective: they cover the nature of Blekinge, from the sea and coast to forests and rivers. Thus, a single forest route is contrasted with a regional exhibition theme spanning several natural environments.

Canoeing and Kayaking on the Ronnebyån

Canoe and kayak rentals are available at two locations along the Ronnebyån, with transport to any point of your choice along the river. This gives you both a choice between two types of boat and a destination point you can select yourself.
