At the Pr’ Ivaniš farmstead, a traditional blacksmith’s forge has been preserved and is still in operation. The two farmsteads therefore have different highlights: the farmstead and frescoes at Šturmajce, and the working forge at Pr’ Ivaniš.

Memorial Sites and Village Festival

The Žličnik monument in Srednja Kanomlja is designated as a memorial to the victims of fascism. The monument to Franc Sedej stands on Mohoričev hrib, north of and 1.2 km below the Spodnji Belobrdar farmstead (Srednja Kanomlja 39). It is a pillar made of natural stone, with an inset inscription plaque of grey marble. The inscription states that the Italian army shot the 35-year-old farmer Franc Sedej on 6 May 1943. Its precise location and inscription give this memorial site a distinct focus alongside the Žličnik monument.

The annual Kanomlja village festival also has a specific connection to the area: it takes place in front of the old Kanomlja school in Srednja Kanomlja. The 2026 edition was held on 25 July.
