Ostražica is the site of a fortified Hallstatt-period hilltop settlement on the right bank of the Orava. It was an important centre from the end of the Late Bronze Age. Archaeological finds provide evidence of approximately 500 to 600 years of apparently continuous prehistoric and early historic settlement on the hill. Here, distinctive landforms meet a long history of settlement.
