The Spa&Aquapark has six indoor swimming pools, with two more in the Aquapark’s outdoor area. Visitors interested in swimming can choose between two different areas: indoor and outdoor pools. But Turčianske Teplice District also offers cultural discoveries and routes through the landscape.

The spa park and cultural sites

The central spa park covers 12 ha and is classified as a cultural monument. Its size and monument status give the park a distinctive place among the region’s cultural attractions. Individual buildings and museums also offer a variety of experiences: one birthplace is designated a monument, while exhibitions provide insights into the lives of notable people and historic crafts.

The birthplace of Mikuláš Galanda is a national cultural monument. In Mošovce, the Museum of Crafts is housed in the Révay family mausoleum, built in 1861. Visitors can see tools used for historic crafts practised in the village. The building and exhibition offer two different ways to explore the past: through the history of the mausoleum and through the work once carried out locally.

The Ján Kollár Museum is located at the original site of Ján Kollár’s birthplace. Its exhibition follows the poet’s life from his birth, through his studies, to his work as a priest. Visits are possible by prior arrangement. Modrý kúpeľ, now called Zlatý kúpeľ or Royal Bath, is also a cultural monument. Together, these sites show how varied cultural discoveries can be: a monument, a historic building, or an exhibition about someone’s life.

Walking and cycling routes

Hiking trails lead from Turčianske Teplice to Vyšehrad. Cyclists can choose between two routes, each with different points of reference. The Znievska cycling route runs from Turčianske Teplice to Martin and starts on Hájska Street, near the Turčianske Teplice, aut. st. stop for the bike bus. It passes through the western part of the Turiec Basin, below the Lúčanská Malá Fatra.

The Turčianska cycling artery runs through Mošovce, Turčianske Teplice and Horná Štubňa. The section between Turčianske Teplice and Horná Štubňa is almost flat. When comparing routes, the Znievska cycling route connects Turčianske Teplice with Martin; the almost flat terrain on the specified section is a distinguishing feature of the cycling artery. A cycling path also passes through the forest from Budiš to Štyri chotáre. As route conditions can change, check them before setting off.

Budiš and Mošovce

In Budiš, the Vajcovka spring is freely accessible to the public, with a shelter above it. Check the access conditions again before your visit. The forests around Budiš are often visited in summer and autumn because of the mushrooms found there.

The Mošovský jarmok is a traditional fair that adds an event to the area’s museum and monument attractions. For local information, the Turčianske Teplice Tourist Information Centre provides details about attractions and transport connections. This gives you a range of options when planning your trip: swimming areas, cultural sites, hiking trails and cycling routes. Choose the focus that suits your visit.
