Borsuki can be explored for travel-planning purposes through three main themes: cycling, local cultural heritage and natural attractions in the nearby area. If you are looking for a hotel in Borsuki, you can start by considering which of these will shape your stay. It helps to distinguish locations clearly: some routes pass through Borsuki or end there, while certain viewpoints and natural attractions lie between or within the areas of other named places.

Cycling and hiking

A variant of the Green Velo cycling route passes through Borsuki. Check the current route and trail conditions before setting out. For hiking, the red-marked Nadbużański Hiking Trail follows a clearly defined sequence: it starts in Kózki, runs upriver via Mierzwice and Serpelice, and ends in Borsuki. This identifies the start, direction, intermediate places and destination, making the route easy to place geographically. There is also a hiking trail called “Kózki, PKS – Borsuki”. Before setting out, it is advisable to check the current trail markings and conditions. Cycling and hiking plans therefore have different reference points: a route variant through the village and a hiking route with a named start, intermediate places and destination.

Landmarks on the southern edge of the village

A wrought-iron cross on a stone pedestal stands on the southern edge of the village. Its Cyrillic inscription commemorates the 50th anniversary of the abolition of serfdom on 17 February 1911. A wooden chapel dating from the first half of the 20th century also stands on the southern edge of the village; inside is a statue of the Virgin Mary. A wooden cross within a fieldstone surround stands directly beside the chapel. The three features can be distinguished by their materials and design: wrought iron, a pedestal and an inscription for the memorial cross; a wooden structure and statue in the chapel; and wood and fieldstones for the adjacent cross. The inscription links the monument to a specifically named commemorative occasion; the chapel and wooden cross represent other forms of local cultural heritage.

Bug River landscape nearby

The “za Borsukami” viewpoint is a natural terrace on a sandy slope about 30 metres high above the Bug River. It lies between Borsuki and Gnojno in the Nadbużański Landscape Park, and thus in the area near the village. The height is approximate; the Bug River connection and location between two villages help place the viewpoint geographically. A different natural setting lies in the area of Mierzwice and Zabuże: the Uroczysko Trojan encompasses extensive meadows, oxbow lakes of the Bug River and natural woodland. Lake Trojan is permanently connected to the Bug River. The marked “Trojan” nature trail, with six educational stops, also runs through the same area; check the current trail conditions and markings before visiting. The trail’s stops provide an educational focus, while Uroczysko is described through its landscape features and the lake’s permanent connection to the Bug River. The destinations thus differ not only in location, but also in whether you want to see a single viewpoint or several natural features.
