Around Lake Moczydło in Marylin, the 600 m Maryliński Świat Ryb nature trail offers an informative route. It provides a specific local point of interest for anyone who wants to explore nature not only through the setting, but also along a short route. Marylin lies in the heart of the Puszcza Notecka and in an area protected under Natura 2000. There are also hiking, cycling and canoeing routes of distinctly different lengths and layouts.

Hiking, Cycling and Canoeing Routes

The blue hiking trail runs from Bucharzewo via Marylin to Miały. Its 21.2 km route passes entirely through the forests of the Puszcza Notecka. This makes it a considerably longer, forest-focused option than the trail at Lake Moczydło; Marylin lies on the route between the two named endpoints. This distinction is important when choosing: the focus here is a forest connection, not just a short nature trail by the lake.

The 24 km cycling route runs from Drawsko via Pęckowo, Marylin and Piłka, then via Pęckowo back to Drawsko. Unlike the hiking trail, the route ends back in Drawsko. Marylin lies on the section between Pęckowo and Piłka; Pęckowo appears on both the outward and return legs.

The 16 km canoe route on the Miała runs from Marylin via Piłka and Kamiennik to Chełst. It is therefore the shortest of the three longer routes. Its course also sets it apart: the canoe route follows the Miała and ends in Chełst, while the hiking trail leads to Miały and the cycling route returns to Drawsko.

The three routes are 16 km by canoe, 21.2 km on foot and 24 km by bicycle. The distances help put their scale into perspective; the mode of travel and endpoints offer further guidance. This can help you decide whether your travel plans should focus on a walking route, a cycling route that returns to Drawsko, or the water route to Chełst.

At Lake Moczydło

The Maryliński Świat Ryb is a nature trail around Lake Moczydło in Marylin. At 600 m, it is the short, lake-based counterpart to the longer routes connecting several places. This gives you a clear distinction when choosing between a nature trail in Marylin and tours that extend beyond the village.

The Marylin recreation area is also located by the same lake. A municipal ordinance adopted on 30 June 2021 lists a volleyball court, a basketball court and playground equipment there. If these facilities are important to your plans, check their current status before visiting. At Lake Moczydło, you will therefore find two distinct points of interest side by side: the nature trail and the recreation area with the facilities mentioned.

Historic Houses in Marylin

Marylin is also home to two 18th-century houses, at house numbers 17 and 22. These buildings add an architectural and historical dimension to the landscape and routes. If you do not want to base your choice solely on outdoor activities, you can include these houses as another local point of interest in your travel plans.

Decide on your travel plans before searching for accommodation

When looking for a hotel for a trip to Marylin, it helps to first consider the kind of route you have in mind. A 600 m trail and the longer routes of 16 to 24 km offer different experiences; the routes also differ in whether they are for hiking, cycling or canoeing.
