A 57-kilometre red cycling route runs through Drawsko. There are also two circular routes that start and end in Drawsko, a 9-kilometre cycling route via the Kaczeniec Forest District to Borzysko Młyn, and a 14-kilometre circular hiking route starting at the “Yndzel” landing stage. The routes differ in length, course and type of use. The restored palace in the manor park and the water-stage complex add historical and technical points of interest to outdoor activities. You can therefore choose the focus of your trip based on cycling, hiking or cultural heritage.
Cycling Routes in Drawsko
The red “Po obu stronach Noteci” cycling route passes through Drawsko and is 57 km long. The black cycling route is considerably shorter at 9 km and runs through Drawsko (Abisynia), via the Kaczeniec Forest District to Borzysko Młyn. The two routes therefore differ in length and have distinct, named courses.
The 24-km loop runs from Drawsko via Pęckowo, Marylin and Piłka and back. The 34-km loop also starts and ends in Drawsko; it runs via Chełst, Kamiennik, Kwiejce, Piłka and Pęckowo. Both loops pass through Piłka and Pęckowo. The longer one also includes Chełst, Kamiennik and Kwiejce, while Marylin is part of the 24-km loop. Although both return to Drawsko, the loops differ in both length and the sequence of places along the way.
The “Trójwieś” route connects Drawsko, Drawski Młyn and Pęckowo. It is suitable for walkers, cyclists and Nordic walking. Its connection between three places and the activities it accommodates set it apart from the circular routes. If you are comparing options by activity and route type, “Trójwieś” offers a useful point of comparison with the cycling loops.
On Foot Through the Noteć Valley Landscape
The 14-km hiking route is a loop: it starts at the “Yndzel” landing stage and returns there. Along the way, it follows the former “Rajczywiec” educational and nature trail, passes through the Noteć Valley landscape and goes by a group of nature oaks. Unlike “Trójwieś”, which connects three places, this route focuses on its circular course and the named landscape and natural features. Its length and route type give you concrete points of reference for comparing this walking route with the cycling options.
Palace and Water-Stage Complex
Drawsko is home to a restored palace in a manor park dating from the first half of the 18th century. The park adds an architectural and historical point of interest to the routes and water facility.
The Drawsko water-stage complex, Lock No. 21, was built in 1898. It comprises a lock with one chamber and a chamber-type fish pass. Drawsko Lock is an important feature of the cultural landscape of the Noteć Valley. Its construction date and technical features offer concrete points of reference for understanding the complex as another part of Drawsko’s cultural heritage.
