Saint-Maurice-De-Beynost offers several ways to enjoy a stay: the weekly market, parks with paths, and the old village with its church. You can tailor your explorations to suit your interests, whether that means browsing the market, enjoying outdoor activities or discovering local architecture.

Weekly Market and Local Produce

The weekly market on Place Charles de Gaulle takes place every Saturday morning throughout the year. At least twelve vendors are represented each week, including fruit and vegetable sellers, a bakery, a butcher, a cheese seller and a fishmonger. The selection may vary, so check the market schedule again before your trip.

Parks, Paths and Nature

Visitors can stroll through the wooded grounds of Château de la Sathonette. Parc de la Sathonette is open on Saturdays and Sundays: from 1 April to 31 October, opening hours are 2 pm to 8 pm, and from 1 November to 31 March, 2 pm to 6 pm. Check the hours before your visit.

The Grand Parc lies on the outskirts of Saint-Maurice-De-Beynost. Its leisure area around Étang des Eaux Bleues has beaches. For hiking, the Grand Parc offers trails ranging from 10 to 35 kilometres; the leisure area also has six mountain biking circuits. These details provide different options for planning: a hike based on trail length or a mountain bike ride. Check the route and availability locally.

The area designated as an ENS, ĂŽle de Miribel-Jonage, offers another perspective on the nature of the RhĂ´ne river system. It has a wide variety of habitats and species linked to its history. A discovery trail with ten stops showcases different river landscapes and explores this historical connection along the way.

Church and Local History

The old village is home to Église Saint-Maurice, a remarkable building typical of the Côtière. Its walls are made of pebbles. The church opens for services only on special occasions. Check current access arrangements before visiting.

Another historic feature is the washhouse on the square, dating from 1883. Together with the church, it offers a glimpse of different aspects of the local heritage: a distinctive building in the old village and a historic structure on the square with a known date.

Water, Wellness and Exercise

Espace aquatique LILO complements the outdoor activities with swimming, wellness and fitness facilities. These include baby swimming, swimming lessons for children and adults, aqua aerobics and aqua biking. The relaxation area features a spa, sauna, hammam and chromotherapy; fitness facilities are also available. As facilities and programmes may change, check which activities are currently offered before your visit.
