Eaux-Puiseaux offers several reasons to visit: the Eglise d'Eaux-Puiseaux with its stained-glass windows, rural heritage, the cider produced at Ferme d'Hotte, and a gravel and mountain biking circular route. You can choose to focus on art and history, tasting, or an active outing. When planning, take into account both the specific route details and the seasonal and by-appointment visiting arrangements.

Church architecture and contemporary stained glass

The Eglise d'Eaux-Puiseaux was built between 1853 and 1864 on the colline des Trots between Eaux and Puiseaux. Its present-day artistic interest includes contemporary stained-glass windows created by Flavie Vincent-Petit in 2014–2015. The windows explore the theme of the origin of the world, “La Création”. The church thus brings together a 19th-century building and a much more recent artistic design.

If you would like to see inside the church, please note the access arrangements: it can be opened by contacting the municipality.

Rural life and cider culture

The Écomusée de la Valentaine displays old hand tools and motorised tools. It also recreates a former one-room home and rural life around 1900 and earlier. The tools and recreated living space offer different perspectives on this way of life, with work and housing as two distinct, tangible themes.

The Musée du cidre at La Ferme d’Hotte showcases agricultural heritage through old presses, distillation equipment and crushing machines. It also traces three centuries of cider history. Ferme d'Hotte produces apple juice, cider and ratafia, and offers tastings of these products. There is also a short walk through apple and pear orchards. You can choose between learning about historic equipment and cider history, and enjoying the products, a tasting and a walk.

Outside seasonal opening hours, the Musée du Cidre du Pays d'Othe and the Ferme d'Hotte farm shop are open by appointment. If you plan to visit outside these hours, arrange your visit in advance.

Cycling the Circuit des Vergers

The Circuit des Vergers is an easy 18 km gravel and mountain biking circular route with 361 metres of elevation gain. The stated duration is 2 hours 30 minutes. The route starts at the Chapelle St Joseph and heads into the Forêt d'Othe along its limestone slopes. It also crosses a grain-growing plain. The distance, elevation gain and stated duration give you a concrete basis for deciding whether the ride fits your plans; the description also mentions two different types of landscape along the way.

The attractions offer different experiences: church architecture and stained glass, the history of rural daily life, cider and tastings, or a bike ride with a specified distance and duration. Choose according to what interests you most during your stay. If visits are seasonal or available by appointment only, factor the relevant access arrangements into your plans.
