For planning your trip, Bohuslavice nad Vláří offers three different points of interest: nature, cycling and local history. Specific topics include a protected mixed forest, a cycling route connection to Bohuslavice and several dated cultural monuments. You can therefore focus your trip more on observing nature, a cycling tour or the history of the town.

Nature between a protected area and springtime

The Pod Vrchy natural monument is a protected mixed forest in the cadastral area of Bohuslavice nad Vláří. This identifies a specific type of landscape alongside the cultural monuments: a forest area with protected status.

A seasonal nature highlight is the snowdrops. In spring, thousands can be seen on the northeastern slope below Mount Vrchy (461 m above sea level). The slope lies on the right-hand valley side of the Vlára, approximately 1.5 km southeast of Bohuslavice nad Vláří. The springtime aspect is important for planning; this is therefore a different focus from the protected forest of Pod Vrchy.

Cycling route and travel

The Bevlava cycling route runs from Brumov-Bylnice to Bohuslavice nad Vláří. This section is listed as 8.8 km long, with an elevation difference of 33 m. The ride is considered easy and partly follows unpaved terrain. These details provide different points of reference: distance, elevation difference, stated difficulty level and surface conditions. Check the route information and conditions before setting off.

The train is also a specific option to consider when planning your journey: the official railway timetable lists Bohuslavice nad Vláří station on line S5. Check departure times in the timetable before you travel.

Local history through dated landmarks

The statue of Saint Florian is considered the oldest surviving cultural monument in Bohuslavice nad Vláří. Another religious landmark is the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, which was consecrated on 18 October 1942. Next to the chapel stands a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes from 1898. It was restored and reinstalled in 2012.

A sandstone cross dating from 1865, with a stone figure of the crucified Christ, stands on the road to Popov. Archaeological history is also among the local points of interest: prehistoric finds from the Lusatian Urnfield culture were discovered in the Vyšehrad area within the cadastral area of Bohuslavice nad Vláří. The cross and the find site each represent a different way of exploring local history—one a surviving religious monument, the other prehistoric finds.

The memorial to local residents who fell in the First World War was ceremonially unveiled in 1928. It is a sandstone work of stone masonry and complements the religious and archaeological evidence with a local remembrance of the war.
