Těšetice appeals to travellers with a range of interests: the Únanovský Stream divides the municipality, a large orchard lies to the west, and the Church of the Holy Trinity has a clearly documented construction and consecration history. There is also an important prehistoric archaeological site, as well as opportunities for golf and sport fishing. These themes offer different ways to experience the place and its history. When planning your trip, you can first consider whether cultural history, archaeology or a sporting activity should be your main focus.

Landscape and Village Layout

The Únanovský Stream flows from west to east through Těšetice. It divides the municipality into a smaller northern part and a larger southern part. Its direction of flow and the different sizes of the two areas give the municipal territory a clear spatial layout. The stream is therefore not only a landscape feature, but also a simple point of reference for understanding how the village is laid out.

The Pomona a.s. Těšetice orchard lies west of Těšetice. Cherries, sour cherries, apples, apricots and peaches are grown across 90 hectares. While the stream runs from west to east through the municipality, the orchard represents the agricultural character of the western surroundings. Together, these two features offer different perspectives on the landscape: the layout of the municipal territory and the fruit growing carried out there.

Church and Archaeology

The Church of the Holy Trinity offers a precise point of reference for the history of the village. It is in the Late Empire style, dates from 1843 to 1848, and was consecrated on 18 June 1848. The construction period and the consecration date mark different milestones: the years indicate when it was built, while the specific day in June is its consecration day. This makes it possible to place the church in context both art-historically and through a precisely dated event.

The Těšetice-Kyjovice archaeological site reveals a different historical period. It lies within the cadastral area of Kyjovice and is closely connected to the municipality of Těšetice by links and routes. This important prehistoric site is best known for its rondel, which was comprehensively investigated from 1968 to 1978 as the first example of its kind in Central Europe. This gives the area a distinct archaeological focus. Unlike the church, the site draws attention to prehistoric research rather than to a 19th-century building.

Golf and Sport Fishing

The Královská vinice Těšetice golf complex has a nine-hole golf course and a driving range. The Těšetický Golfklub is also open to the general public. The two facilities offer different experiences: the nine-hole course focuses on playing a round, while the driving range provides an opportunity to practise golf. If golf is your main interest, you can use these options to decide which type of play better suits your travel plans. Check the current visiting conditions before your visit.

Fishpoint Těšetice is a modern fishing venue for sport fishing near Znojmo. This adds another distinct focus, separate from golf: sport fishing is the main activity here. As visitor conditions may change, check the current situation before planning a fishing visit.
