Discover Archlebov through three distinct interests: architectural history centred on the Church of Saint Sebastian and Saint Roch, guided wine tastings in the village, and protected nature to the north. The municipal museum is directly opposite the church. The connection to nature is also geographically specific: the northern half of Archlebov’s cadastral area lies within the Ždánický les Nature Park. This gives you a mix of culture, wine and nature conservation when choosing your destination.

Church and Museum

The present-day Church of Saint Sebastian and Saint Roch was built between 1729 and 1731 and stands on the southeastern edge of Archlebov. It is a single-nave hall church with a vaulted ceiling. “Single-nave” describes a church interior without additional side aisles; together with the vaulted ceiling, the term describes its characteristic architectural form. The construction period gives the building a clear historical context, while its location also situates the church within Archlebov.

The Archlebov Municipal Museum is directly opposite. It was ceremonially reopened on Sunday, 5 April 2026, following extensive renovations. The church and museum are thus two distinct cultural sites located directly beside one another: on one side, a religious building with clearly described architecture; on the other, the municipal museum. Those interested in local culture can consider them as distinct aspects of the destination.

Guided Wine Tasting

The SPIELBERG Degustário in Archlebov offers guided wine tastings in small groups of up to 16 people. This group size provides a concrete planning guideline if you would like to join a tasting with others. The experience includes a specially prepared tasting platter with a selection of cheeses from local farms. So, alongside the wine, it also introduces products from local farms. The specific cheese selection may change. If you are planning a tasting, confirm a suitable date in advance.

Nature Park and Rare Plants

The Ochozy Natural Monument also lies north of Archlebov and protects rare plant species. These include the critically endangered bee orchid and the endangered military orchid. The Ždánický les Nature Park and the Ochozy Natural Monument represent different geographical scales of the nature theme: the nature park covers the northern half of the cadastral area, while Ochozy is a specific natural monument north of the village. The plants mentioned give this conservation context a concrete expression.

Chapels, Sports Complex and Regional Orientation

Two chapels in the vernacular Baroque style stand in the fields near Archlebov. Their location differs from that of the church on the southeastern edge of the village and connects the cultural theme with the surrounding farmland. The “Luža” multipurpose sports and cultural complex includes a sports field with artificial turf for ball games. This means that, alongside the church and municipal museum, Archlebov also has a specific sports facility.

A wine route continues along the road to Žarošice. Its course may change, so check it before planning a specific route.
