Navsi offers a range of options for a stay: protected nature, hiking and cycling trails, architectural history and various leisure activities. When planning your trip, you can first decide whether the nature around Filipka, a longer hike or the historic buildings will be the main draw. The train stop and a venue for training and holiday stays are also practical points of reference.

Nature and trails around Navsi

The Filipka Nature Monument protects a 1.0642-hectare pasture in the cadastral area of Návsí u Jablunkova, with common juniper plants of various ages. The area is therefore slightly larger than one hectare. For visitors interested in the landscape and nature conservation, Filipka is a clearly defined natural attraction: the focus is on a specific pasture and its juniper population. In the area around Návsí, the broad valley of the Olše also separates two mountain ranges.

The Halamova Trail, which is of interest to hikers and nature enthusiasts, starts in Návsí and is about 20 kilometres long. On the ridge along the Polish border, it connects with yellow-, red- and blue-marked hiking trails. The approximate distance provides a practical guide for planning; if you choose the Halamova Trail, you can make its route the main focus of your day. The marked trails that connect to it offer further route options.

There is also a specific route for cycling: Route No. 10, Olza–Olše, passes through Návsí between Jablunkov and Třinec. It forms part of a long-distance main cycling route that runs from the Polish border to Chotěbuž. This places the local section within a larger route. If you plan to cycle, check the signs on site.

Architectural history and stays

The Evangelical Church of Návsí is a single-nave brick building in the Empire style. Construction began in 1817, and the church was consecrated in 1820. The two dates mark different stages in its history. Another historical trace is the remains of Zámčisko, a small medieval fortification in Návsí. The church and the remains of the fortification represent different eras and give the town a historical dimension alongside its nature and trails.

The former Evangelical school is now known as Sborový dům Emaus. Since the 1990s, it has served the general public for training and holiday stays. The building has five rooms with a total of 20 beds and two common rooms. If this accommodation suits your plans, check availability before your trip. The details about the rooms, beds and common rooms help give you an idea of the building as a specific place to stay.

A military centre has also opened in Návsí. A 2014 report describes it as originally bringing together two independent projects: the Military History Archive of Cieszyn Silesia and a private collection of heavy military equipment. The items shown to visitors at the time included tanks, military trucks and a newly built bunker. This description refers to the exhibition at that time; check in advance whether a visit is currently possible.

Plan activities and your journey

Fishing is possible at the local reservoir with the required permit. Check what permission you need before fishing. The Návsí paintball area offers paintball in a natural setting and equipment; check in advance whether it is available on your chosen date. This makes it easy to include these options in your plans without confusing them with the hiking and cycling routes.

International express trains from Slovakia, Czechia and Poland stop in Návsí. The train stop is a practical reference point for planning your journey; check the timetable for specific departures. When looking for a hotel in Navsi, it helps to first decide what you want to focus on during your stay—for example, the Halamova Trail, architectural history or travelling by train.
