Water, a recurring spring event, and rail and road connections give you several different starting points for planning a stay in Mirosovice. Depending on whether you focus on Štičí rybník, the educational trail or local history, your questions about timing and travel will differ. You can plan your travel dates around your chosen focus and then make separate arrangements for getting there.
Water and seasonal planning
Štičí rybník, a 16,500 m² body of water, lies in the western part of Mirosovice. It is one of the bodies of water used for swimming and ice skating. Which activity is suitable for your visit depends on seasonal conditions; check locally if you plan to do either. Swimming and ice skating are therefore distinct seasonal reasons to make the pond the focus of your stay.
Educational trail and spring event
The “Krajinou barona Ringhoffera” educational trail begins in Mirosovice and ends in Kamenice. It has ten information boards, or stops. The start and end points show the route between two places; the number of stops adds another concrete aspect to consider when planning.
The spring event “Krajinou barona Ringhoffera” has the same name but is a separate occasion: it begins on foot or by bicycle in Mirosovice and has marked the start of the tourism season in Ladův kraj since 2005. It usually takes place on the last weekend in April. If this event determines when you travel, check that year’s date before making plans.
Coordinate your journey and stay
For road access, use exit 21 on the D1 as a reference point. At the interchange, the motorway connects with road I/3 toward Benešov and České Budějovice. By rail, Mirosovice is connected to the Praha–Benešov route, line 221, as part of Pražská integrovaná doprava (PID). Check current departure times before travelling. This will help you choose between road and rail based on your travel dates.
Indoor sports are another possible activity. The sports hall at ZŠ Mirošovice is open to the public Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 21:00, subject to school operating rules; at other times, it may be used by arrangement. Possible sports include volleyball, basketball, nohejbal, five-a-side football, floorball and table tennis. If you plan to use the hall, follow the stated hours or arrange access outside this time slot.
A place of remembrance
The “Pomník Obětem 1. a 2. světové války” memorial commemorates the fallen and victims of Nazi German violence during the occupation from 1939 to 1945. As well as water and activities, Mirosovice therefore offers a specific connection to history.
You can then plan your journey around your travel dates and, if travelling by train, check current departure times.
