Ptýrov offers a range of options for a trip: rock formations along the Jizera, cultural history in Ptýrov and Maníkovice, a marked cycle route, and the facilities at Farma Ptýrov. When choosing a holiday rental, it helps to first decide what you want to focus on—landscape, history, cycling or equestrian sports.

Rock Formations and Nature in Ptýrov

At Skalní sruby Jizery, there are significant rock faces and two lateral niches formed by lateral erosion from the Jizera. Below them lies the Jizera’s most geomorphologically distinctive pseudokarst niche. For nature enthusiasts, the rock face itself is not the only point of interest; the river’s role in shaping these formations is also relevant. Access can be very difficult during the growing season; conditions depend on vegetation management. The time of year alone therefore does not fully describe accessibility. Check the current access conditions before visiting.

Another facet of nature is the Maníkovické duby in Maníkovice, a group of notable pedunculate oaks. Unlike the rock niches, this is a different natural feature: here, the focus is on a group of trees, while there it is on a formation shaped by erosion. This lets you choose between two distinct natural features when deciding what to focus on.

Cycling the Greenway Jizera

The marked Greenway Jizera runs from Mnichovo Hradiště past the Ptýrov weir and onward to Veselá and Lhotice. For cycle tourists, this sequence offers clear guidance: it names the starting point, an intermediate point and the continuation of the route. Check the trail conditions and markers before setting off. The route therefore answers a different planning question than a visit to Skalní sruby: the Greenway is about route and orientation, while access to the rock niches may be difficult during the growing season.

Baroque Landmark and Chapel History

The Baroque Valdštejn hunting lodge is located in Maníkovice, within the cadastral area of Ptýrov. It was built in 1711 and is a protected cultural monument. The chapel in Ptýrov was renovated in 1992 and consecrated at a ceremony on 11 July. The two cultural sites relate to different periods: the hunting lodge is notable for its construction date and monument status, while the chapel is associated with its renovation and consecration. This gives travellers interested in history two specific points of interest—Baroque architectural history and a dated event at the chapel.

Restaurant and Equestrian Centre Farma Ptýrov

The restaurant at Farma Ptýrov specialises in modern Czech cuisine; steaks and international specialities are also on offer. The culinary offering may change. If you are planning your meals around these options, check the current menu in advance.

As an equestrian centre, Farma Ptýrov has two outdoor riding arenas, an indoor arena, a lunge ring and a horse walker. The facilities may change over time. If a particular facility is important to your plans, check what is currently available beforehand.

Farma Ptýrov hosts national and international show-jumping competitions, national championships, Hubertus rides and events for children. These event types range from show jumping and championships to Hubertus rides and activities for children. If a particular competition or event is the deciding factor for your trip, check the relevant dates.
