Which connection is relevant for your arrival, and which historical topics would you like to learn more about? Malé Přítočno offers specific points of interest for both: a PID bus connection between Praha, Zličín, and Kladno, and a history stretching from the first documented owner through the Thirty Years’ War to the founding of associations after 1868. The historic settlement site along the Dolanský potok and other geographical features add further context. This lets you consider planning your journey and your interest in local or landscape history as separate questions.

Getting There and Finding Your Way

PID bus line 307 serves Malé Přítočno on the route between Praha, Zličín, and Kladno, Autobusové nádraží. The stop Malé Přítočno is in the northern part of the village, by the inn; to the south is Malé Přítočno, U Hrnčírny, next to the children’s playground. The Unhošť railway stop is also in the southern part of the village, so two of the three stops mentioned are to the south. This north–south distinction helps you identify the right local stop by its full name and location. Which stop is relevant for you depends on your specific destination in the village. Check the current bus timetable before travelling, as routes can change. It is also advisable to check the latest train service information, as rail connections can change.

Ownership, War, and Community Life

The first documented owner of the village was Jan IV. z Dražic, Bishop of Prague. The Thirty Years’ War (1618–1648) completely depopulated Malé Přítočno. After 1868, educational associations (reading circles), workers’ mutual aid associations, sports clubs, and theatre associations were founded. The associations covered different areas of activity: education in the form of reading circles, support for workers, as well as sport and theatre. Jan IV. z Dražic initially situates the history in terms of ownership; the war, by contrast, marks a turning point for the entire village, while the later associations touched on several areas of social life.

The village’s proximity to the old Eger Road historically connected Malé Přítočno with troop movements from the border in the direction of Prague. This connection broadens the perspective beyond individual events in the village: the old Eger Road places Malé Přítočno on the route of troop movements between the border and Prague.

Historic Landscape and Geographical Features

The historic settlement developed on the southern bank of the Dolanský potok. The historic surroundings of the Dolanský potok included floodplain forests and several large and small ponds. These provide two distinct aspects of the setting: the southern bank marks the settlement’s location, while the floodplain forests and ponds describe the wider surroundings. If you are interested in landscape history, this distinction offers a different perspective from the history of ownership, war, and associations: the focus is on the settlement’s location by the stream and the former floodplain and pond landscape.

The cemetery of Malé Přítočno is beside the D6 motorway between Malé Přítočno and Pletený Újezd. A memorial to an aviation accident stands between Dolany and Malé Přítočno.
