Jochberg offers several distinct options for planning your day: the seasonally operated outdoor swimming pool, paths connected with fountains and museums, and tours with specific route details. This lets you shape your stay around culture, activity or water rather than trying to fit every activity into the same day. When it comes to the tours in particular, it is worth comparing the different figures for distance, walking time and elevation gain.
Water and seasonal planning
Jochberg’s outdoor swimming pool has a solar-heated 25-metre pool and a toddler pool with a slide. There is also a 3,500 m² sunbathing lawn, a beach volleyball court, table tennis and various play structures. So, in addition to swimming, there are spaces and facilities for other activities. The swimming pool operates seasonally; take this into account when choosing your travel dates.
Fountain Trail, museums and monuments
The Jochberg Fountain Trail passes seven historic fountains. The Jochberg Museum Trail gives visitors the opportunity to learn more about local culture and traditions in Jochberg’s museums. The two trails offer different cultural highlights: one focuses on historic fountains, the other on the museums and their exhibits.
As of 23 June 2026, the Tyrolean list of monuments includes the Catholic parish church of St. Wolfgang, the cemetery in Jochberg and the pilgrimage chapel of the Visitation of Mary in Jochberg as protected monuments. The chapel is also known as Jochbergwald Chapel.
Routes and activities by length
The Alte Wacht archery course has a short loop of about 1 km with nine animal targets; equipment rental is available. This short, specified loop is on a different scale from the longer mountain tour to the waterfall.
The moderately difficult mountain tour to Sintersbach Waterfall is a 9.3 km loop that takes about four hours to walk. Route “212 | Jochberg Ost” is listed as about 4.71 km, with just under 478 metres of elevation gain. You can therefore take the distance into account alongside the stated walking time or ascent. Check current trail conditions before setting out on the waterfall tour.
Well-groomed cross-country ski trails lead directly through the region from Jochberg town centre. Availability and grooming may vary by season, so check current trail conditions before including them in your plans.
A glimpse into mining
At the Kupferplatte show mine, the restored mine train takes visitors 150 metres into the tunnel. A guide explains various mining methods, tools and mine workings. The ride and explanations offer both a view inside the tunnel and insight into mining work. Mine workings are the underground passages of a mine.
