The route to Bàu Sấu Wetland in Cát Tiên National Park has two sections: You can cover 9 km along the way by car or bicycle, followed by a 5 km walk on a forest trail. There is no alternative way to travel this section. Bàu Sấu is 14 km from the park’s visitor center. Check current trail conditions and transport options before setting out.
Cát Tiên: Wetlands and Nighttime Wildlife Watching
The national park and the wetland have different designations: UNESCO recognized Cát Tiên as a biosphere reserve in 2001; Bàu Sấu was recognized as a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention in 2005. This brings two natural areas, each with its own designation, into focus.
A nighttime wildlife-watching tour adds to a visit to the park. It takes place in a park vehicle, accompanied by someone who shines a light on the animals. The tour must be booked in advance, and tickets are limited. Check the current arrangements and availability in good time.
Waterfalls, Lakes and Islands
Giang Điền Waterfall Park is an ecotourism site covering around 67 hectares in Trảng Bom District. It includes three waterways: Chàng Waterfall, Nàng Waterfall and the main Giang Điền Waterfall. At Suối Mơ Park in Trà Cổ, Tân Phú District, cool waterfalls sit alongside a large swimming lake. While Giang Điền is defined by its three named waterways, Suối Mơ offers another focal point in its lake.
Làng bưởi Tân Triều offers a different waterside setting: The village lies on a small island surrounded by the Đồng Nai River. Visitors can freely explore the orchards and sample local dishes. On the islands of Ó and Đồng Trường in the Trị-An Reservoir, visitors can pick and eat fresh fruit; this is a seasonal offering. Camping is also possible on Ó. The availability of camping may vary depending on the operator and local administration.
Pilgrimage, Culture and Leisure
Núi Chứa Chan is a spiritual pilgrimage destination. At the Chứa Chan historical and scenic monument complex, visitors can ride in a cable car and take in views of mountain forests, valleys and white rock cliffs. Since operations and visitor services can change, check these details in advance. Chiến khu Đ, meanwhile, is home to a system of national historical monuments set amid a diverse forest.
Tà Lài Eco Lodge offers experiences in traditional brocade weaving by the Mạ and S’tiêng ethnic groups. Bửu Long is an ecotourism complex in Trấn Biên, with rivers, lakes, mountains, caves and pagodas. Visitors can also take a swan boat ride on Long Ẩn Lake.
For a different kind of leisure, there is Sơn Tiên: The entertainment complex has facilities for leisure, entertainment and recreation. These include the The Amazing Bay – Vịnh Kỳ Diệu water park, with thrilling water slides and a large wave pool. Dong Nai offers experiences ranging from nature areas and waterscapes to cultural and entertainment options.
