Les in the Val d’Aran offers several distinct highlights for a stay: the CIRCUITO TERMAL, Haro traditions, and trails through forests and alpine meadows. This lets you tailor the balance between thermal facilities, local culture, and landscapes to your travel interests.

Thermal facilities in Les

The CIRCUITO TERMAL features indoor and outdoor pools, three hot tubs, a Finnish sauna, and a relaxation area. These facilities give the thermal area a distinct focus alongside Les’s cultural attractions and landscape trails. If thermal facilities are a particular priority when choosing a destination, you’ll find a variety of options within the CIRCUITO TERMAL.

Trail and Haro traditions

On 27 August 2025, the themed trail “Castèth de Les, Passejada pera Istòria d’Aran” was presented. It comprises nine features, including Castillo de Pijoert. The trail is therefore made up of several parts, with the named site included as one of them.

The Haro traditions can also be distinguished by their rituals. During the Crema deth Haro, traditional dances accompany the burning of the Halhes, torches made from cherry bark. The Quilha deth Haro is an annual tradition: a new Haro is erected on 29 June. The Crema thus combines fire and dance, while the Quilha centers on erecting a new Haro.

The two dates serve different purposes: the Quilha takes place annually on 29 June, while the trail was presented on 27 August 2025. This distinguishes the date of a recurring ritual from the date on which a themed trail was presented.

Scenic trails and activities

Trails in Les pass through forests and alpine meadows, with views over the Val d’Aran. The Les–Era Lana–Les trail passes the Romanesque chapel of Sant Blai de Les. Dating from the 12th century, the chapel lies beyond Era Baronia. After about 1,200 metres, the trail reaches Era Lana, a flat grazing area.

Another activity is the Torre de Cledes via ferrata in Les. Its route is 125 metres long and classified as a K2 introductory route. Activities on the river near Les include rafting, canoeing, canyoning, hydrospeed, and ziplining. So the options include not only scenic trails but also a via ferrata and various river activities; these activities offer quite different experiences.
